"We had a very pleasant week staying at Hotel Arco Iris. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast options were all excellent and delicious. Our bungalow was very comfortably appointed. Lots of storage, shower products, hairdryer, fridge and safe. We enjoyed our front porch hammock and seating area daily. The pool was great and had plenty of lounging space.This lush, peaceful property, just minutes walk from the beach and the center of town, was the perfect place for us. "

"We stayed 2 nights. The people were amazing, always smiling and willing to help, and they recommended the best spots, beaches, and restaurants. The location was ok, not the greatest, far enough from the craziness of the town, but the beach they advertise nearby is not on the property. It is not beautiful either; it is full of sharp rocks and smells bad. The person they have dedicated to the guest was nice but lazy, in our opinion. The hotel itself was spotless, the accommodation was awesome, the dinner was one fo the best of the whole week we stayed in Costa Rica, the pool area was great, but because of their location and the beautiful arbories around you, you can only enjoy the sun for a couple of hours in the morning. Then there is no sun. The room décor was very stylish and minimalist. The shower was big, and there was enough lighting for makeup, etc. AC works like a champ. I will definitely recommend this hotel if you are coming to Tamarindo. "

"Ocho Artisan Bungalows was fanatastic! My partner and I were there foir 3 nights, but wished we had more time! I was a bit on edge as we got there - it's on a dirt road, no lobby (just an office), and no one had ever heard of it! so I wasn't sure what we were walkiing into. But, we were immediately greeted by Ilsa and Seyu (sorry about the spelling) - who made us feel totally welcome. The bungalows are completely unique - very modern amenities, but with an airy and artistic feel - almost like a tent (but it's not). The pool area is an oasis of calm and quiet - surrounded by luscious greenery, complete with daybeads - makes for a very peaceful day in the sun. The beach and beach club are great. We had round oversized day beds reserved for us - and the staff moved umbrella's so we were in the shade. The beach is incredible - beautiful sand, big waves to play in. Along with that, there is great food and delicious drinks - and Tanya, in her cowboy hat made everything even better! This is a small place and the best part is the staff - isla took such good care of us - it was like being part of a family. We really appreciated everything that she did for us. This is not a generic hotel - so if you are looking for a standard big chain - this is not it. But, if you are looking for a small, intimate, beautiful resort with impeccible service and attention to detail - this is the place to be. Couldn't recommend it enough! "

"Clean room, gorgeous pool, and an amazing daily breakfast—especially the lattes. The location is perfect: close to town and the beach, so getting around was easy. We saw at least 10 monkeys on the property every morning, which was such a fun surprise. Super cute place overall. Would absolutely come back with a group of friends and stay here again."

"We stayed in the 4-bedroom family suite and absolutely loved it. There was lots of space for our group, with a large common living area that made it easy to spend time together. The dining table was generously sized, and we really appreciated the ample seating on the balcony/terrace. The fridge is a larger bar-sized fridge, which worked perfectly well for our needs. The coffee and tea station was a lovely touch, and having a sink in the common area was very convenient. Overall, the suite felt spacious, comfortable, and very well designed for families or groups."
