"Pre paid for the place ; drove 4 hours up into the Mtn of Costa Rica ; arrived and we were not registered in the place ; could not reach the owner and had to sleep in our vehicle as no rooms around in the small community"

"Loved the openness of the hotel, the plants, souvenir shop. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was fantastic, clean, and spacious. Only "complaint" was pool could have been warmer and no poolside bartender lol but not a big deal, it is a beautiful pool area. We did get up at 0700 to get in the hottub and it wasn't hot, assumed the hottub was shut off at night. Our room was poolside and we were awakened by a very loud group of guests at the pool about midnight, called the front desk and it was taken care of immediately. I absolutely would stay at the Doubletree in San Jose again and definitely recommend it, especially for the airport shuttle/convenience."
