- Welcome to Casa Maruka, a recently renovated private home in a quiet residential neighborhood in San Ignacio, Belize. Situated in the heart of the Cayo District, the house is a 5-minute drive or 15 to 20-minute walk from downtown San Ignacio's markets, restaurants, and nightlife. We recommend guests have a rental car to make the most of their stay and to explore the wider Cayo District with ease.
Inside, you'll find two bedrooms with queen beds and individual air conditioning units, two bathrooms with hot water showers, and a futon in the living room that comfortably sleeps an additional guest. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook your own meals, and in-unit laundry means you can pack light.
The outdoor spaces are a highlight. Tuck into the foyer hammock with a book, unwind on the shaded back veranda, or head up to the rooftop terrace with swing chairs, a large table, and hammocks, perfect for meals, evening drinks, or stargazing under Belize's open sky.

Home was very clean, and nicely appointed. Everything we needed for cooking our meals was available in the kitchen. The rooftop deck was especially enjoyable & the view is outstanding. Our host, Maria, was attentive & responsive. It was a great home base for all the activities we did in the area. I would highly recommend staying here!
