The biggest issue was having to pay $100 cash deposit when i checked in. There was absolutely nothing on hotels.com or the super 8 website about having to pay such a high deposit. Got into the room and used the bathroom. Toilet was not flushing, Tried to call the office to inform them and the phone wasn't working either. No water in the outside pool. Very noisy at night.

Good enough for the price
It was clean, and the staff was nice and close to the beach and next to Walmart and other shopping but the pool was empty with a sign about diarrhea on the front fence which kinda made me Leary about breakfast which was just cereal and toast but it wasn’t too bad for the price because I had no intention on swimming in the pool and eating the breakfast anyway..

Nice hotel, staff was friendly and welcoming.
Over all good place to stay close to the Mexico Boarder. The place was clean, quite and close to local stores and restaurants. No five star place but defiantly a comfy over night stay.

Disgusting
I made my reservation through cheaptickets.com. I listed below my observations and why I WILL NEVER recommend this place. 1) Breakfast - coffee, waffles, and maybe bread. That’s it! 2) Parking - The parking space are so narrow, it’s hard to fit anything bigger than a compact car. It’s hard to get spot because people can’t park. 3) Rooms - Looks fine. However, they had to move me to two different rooms. First room, there was blood on the toilet seat (or it appeared to be) and one of the walls has a hole. Second room, I complained about the cigarettes/weed smokes from the outside is coming into our room. Lastly, the faucets were loose, but it was the best room out of three.

Nice hotel close to the beach. Something's I wish I would have known beforehand: - if you paid online before your actual stay there will be a $100 deposit fee on top of what ever you paid (you do get your money back) - parking is kind of tight & very limited -traffic can get a little hectic trying to get out of the hotel parking lot. - don't expect a "big continental breakfast" there was only waffles & toast with juice ( they always said the cereal was on its way but never made it)((we stayed four days btw)) But all in all it was a good stay, had no problems with the actual room where we slept.

It's OK
It was not bad for the price of an overnight stay. It's clean, room smells good, bed is comfortable and no carpet which I like very much. Lacking room amenities such as iron and board and coffee maker. I didn't care much about breakfast, its pretty much all carbs no protein.

Surprised not in a good way.
The room was a no smoking room and it smelled like an ash tray but most alarming is that the smoke alarm was not in service so checked out a day early and requested a refund which was granted. Usually Super 8's are reasonable good stays and this time it was surprising how the condition of the room was met.

Not worth the price.
Hallways were dirty and you can hear everyone walking down them. Walls are super thin, you can hear everything. Woke up to banging on the wall and moans from neighbor having sex. Then had to listen to someone throwing up. Just as I was falling back to sleep, the kids started running and screaming up and down the halls. Its not in the best part of town, but there are a lot of restaurants and stores nearby. Conveniently close to I-5 highway. Staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and beds were comforatble. Limited parking. No microwave or mini frdge, so I couldnt keep any perishables.

Manager Abdul no respect and steals the of the house keeping ladies that work there. They deserve the tip that the customers leave for them not for manager Abdul to steal from them. They can't prove because he does it before they get there. I've seen him do it myself believe me it's true.

The super rate has been a very very nice hotel for us to stay and we have stayed in several high class hotels and we’ve had nothing but problems we come here and it felt like comfortable in the atmosphere was good the service is good Management is great over all in all it’s a very good place to stay and I would recommend it for any anyone

For the price paid how can you complain?
The only thing I wish is that there were more pillows only two small ones per bed, is not my cup of tea. Also a microwave even in the breakfast area would’ve been nice. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating! Would stay here again .

Awful nightmare and waste of money
This place is a nightmare. We should have spent an extra $50 to stay at a nicer place closer to the water. It should have been a red flag that they demand $100 cash deposit at check in to make sure the people who stay there do not damage the room. Weird people coming in and out. When we pulled up, there was a police officer taking a report from the employee. The one employee spent 30 minutes talking to police before figuring out that the line of the eight of us waiting to check in was only going to get longer. So, he finally checked us in. Our room smelled like mildew. He told us we could only change rooms if we didn’t touch anything but my husband had to use the restroom after waiting so long. The area is around is scary, so we decided to check out after being there only two hours and not stay the night. They made us wait for them to go up and check our room to make sure we hadn’t damaged anything before they would let us check out and get our $100 cash deposit back. Spend more money and stay somewhere else.

Great Hotel and Staff,
They actually would not allow my wife to check in because of her liscense. She had some cosmetic surgery and gastric bypass, and like yeah, she looks a little different then when she took her lisnecse picture, but for them to have to revise our reservation because they wouldn't accept the ID she was using, its a little crazy. then, there are all manner of shady people hanging around the hotel, some of which actually popped a screen window out and climbed into a room. My wife reported it and the cops came. The hotel and staff itself were GREAT. They are very nice and friendly. It was not them, but the people around the hotel and the area was a little shady. Maybe they should get some security to keep the riff raff out

Overall the room was good for the night and price. A few minor things: Our room’s smoke detector was missing, remote control’s battery was low so tv wouldn’t turn on easily, view from any window was towards construction, continental breakfast was gone so fast it wasn’t worth waiting for them to restock, and area at night didn’t seem so safe. However, the 2 staff were very friendly.

We've been staying for 10 hours just to sleep a night and were happy with our comfy beds, didn't expect it from a not so expensive motel. Spacious room - as we were 3, was important.

Blood stains on bed sheets, dirty comforter, insects in room, paper thin walls ( could hear people conversations in hall way). Staff was professional, but lack of facilities cleanliness. I would never go back and stay there again, nor recommend anyone. The old cliche " you get what you pay for" definitely falls true at this hotel......

The hotel was okay. Definitely no frills, just a bed to sleep in. It’s very loud, you can hear people getting into their rooms and doors slamming throughout the night. Area isn’t great, but it is close to the beach.

We left within 10 minutes
After checking in we spent 10 minutes in the room which was the wrong number of beds but the last room available although we had pre-booked the room, tried to turn on the TV which was broken and had no way of drowning out the noise of babies screaming, families yelling, and people partying in the hallway at 11pm. We checked out 10 minutes after checking in. Not only was the hotel horrible but it was in an area which seemed very unsafe.

Management was a joke, no customer service whatsoever. Had no idea on how to run a business let alone treat their customers. Don’t let the price fool you. Bathroom smelt like sewer, room amenities were a joke that didn’t work, doors slam constantly. Don’t waste your time and money, stay elsewhere
