This was our first time renting a home in San Antonio through Vrbo. The neighborhood was not in an upscale neighborhood, but the home was absolutely beautiful. The owner, Ms. Jane was wonderful. She made this home look very upscale. She included all the amenities visitors would appreciate. It was very spacious and nicely decorated in bright and welcoming colors. My daughter had her own private room, living room and bathroom which was a plus.The reason I didn't give it a 5 star was due to the mattresses. We are a family of three adults, and I had to sleep on the couch after the first night. The mattresses in each room are very hard. I am a side sleeper, and my first night in the Master bedroom was very uncomfortable. My back and neck hurt the very next morning. The Master bedroom also has a very high bed which made it difficult for me to climb onto the bed. It needs a bed stool which is not provided. Currently, there is no security camera or an alarm which made me a little uneasy due to the looks of the neighborhood. You will also need to purchase ice to keep in the fridge.
