This is a nice little cozy spot close to most of the cool things to do. Only change I would make would be to put a curtain up on the window inside but besides that it was great.
This little apartment was perfect for my stay in San Antonio while attending a conference. Check in was easy and the host was beyond hospitable. I walked to the conference every morning (15 minutes to the conference center) and took an uber back at night ($6 ride!). The bathroom is beautiful and the balcony was lovely as well!
Great stay and property!! Really cool old home that has been renovated into 4 suites!! Really nicely renovated without foresaking old charm!! Really nice bathrooms and neat balcony!! Very clean and comfortable!! Was within walking distance to the Alamodome where my son's band was playing so it was a perfect location!!! Will be staying here again next year if our band makes another trip to state, fingers crossed! For breakfast, go to Tony G's right down the street on Hackberry - amazing breakfast!! Thanks for the great stay!!
My stay here was great!! It's easy to check in, really clean and updated. Owners are very accommodating, responsive and thoughtful, such as providing earplugs for any outside noise. It’s very close to downtown, about a ten to twenty minute walk, and also a 20 minute drive from the Fort Sam Joint Military Base
I am so pleased with everything about this spot. Not only is it close to downtown and the Riverwalk, it has great views of downtown and the Tower of the Americas.
Highlights: The bed, the amazing shower, temperature (the included box fan helps!), and decor makes this a relaxing location in between activities outside of the house.
We will definitely book here again in the future.
Overall very enjoyable. There are four units in the building being rented, and you may have another party staying in one of those rentals. As such, it may get a touch loud on occasion. But that is the exception not the rule. Pretty clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to the convention center and many food/ entertainment options if you don’t mind a 15-30 min walk. Also the public transportation picks up nearby, and it is very inexpensive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SJ4. The suite was clean & cozy. We felt safe and even walked to restaurants; definitely visit The Dakota, Cherrity Bar and Tony G’s. The neighborhood was quiet. After reading some of the reviews, we were concerned about the AC and window in the kitchenette. We stayed during cooler weather so didn’t have a huge issue with the AC but could imagine it being very warm in the summer. The window in the kitchenette is not huge, IF there are people heading up/down the stairs they MAY see you. There is only one other suite upstairs so it’s not like there is a steady stream of foot traffic staring in your window. If you need to sleep in pitch black you’ll want a sleep mask. There is a dog next door but only barked a few times and never during the night. The bathroom was amazing! We will stay again! Paulina was a fantastic host. *Checkout time IS at 10AM. If you have a chance visit the Williams museum next door and hopefully have the privilege of meeting Mr. Charles!
I admire Patricia's entrepreneurship..
Wish I could give a better review but in all integrity and honesty ..cannot. The property title says B&B. No response when I asked about breakfast. Kitchen is tiny.. No microwave..only a skillet and hot plate to cook. Dogs barking/train noise regularly. View from my patio was a junked out yard..Air set at 72..Notebook said not to change..I was hot..Could not leave patio door open in evening..No screen. It is good location for Alamo Dome but not a good neighborhood for a single , physically challenged female to walk. Checkout was 10 AM. No way to store luggage..So left conference early.
. Thete are stero stairs..No elevator or handicapped access. Was very difficult for me..with suitcase..The bed was comfortable. I wish Patricia the best..but not my cup of tea.
Last minute booking for State Band competition. Communication with the owners was easy and they provided great feedback in a super timely manner.Parking was easy and secure. We walked back/forth to the Alamo Dome with no issues and would definitely stay again if we get another opportunity to compete at State again!
The room was nice. A little hot on entry but cooled down later on. The room key had an issue but the property manager was able to help promptly. Parking was confusing. We drove around 3-4 times before finding it. The neighborhood borders the museum district and is a bit sketchy to say in the least. It’s close to the riverwalk but ended up being close to all the “other” things that comes with it. I’m glad there were multiple cameras surrounding the property and parking. Overall a 4/5. Decent stay
We loved our stay and most definitely will book again in the future! The place was exactly as described and bed was so comfortable. Highly recommended.
The place was a great place to stay with friends or partner. Only issues was the window that faced inside the house, and it becoming bright in the room due to people turn on the light for the hallway, overall I do recommend this place it close to other places. Parking can be difficult to find at first but rereading the text they sent helps in locating it.
It was our weekend getaway without children and the property did not disappoint. The shower in the bathroom was a bit of surprise with the draining process and no curtain, but we enjoyed our stay here very much!
