Smelled like mold and cigarettes even though it's a no-smoking property. They need to deep clean the place.. the receptionist blamed it on the humidity. The road noise from the neighborhood was terrible, I literally though there was a car race going on next door at the stadium but it was just people driving crazy on the road next to the hotel.

The location is great! You can walk to the RiverWalk and Alamo in 15-20 minutes or less. The hotel manager is very nice. I didn't have any problem finding parking. Overall, this place offers an excellent value.

First of all..... The train was very loud and annoying.... Front desk person was very rude and disrespectful, the parking lot was dirty, room's door didn't lock.... Very unsafe. When I mentioned to the same person that checked me into to the room.... He acted surprised and said that I needed to leave the premise.... The house keeper also was rude and asking me I need to extend my stay if I won't leave.... I still had 5 minutes until 11am for check out time.... Never again.....

This property is not safe because there are no door locks. I had a grown man enter my room at 2 o’clock in the morning. I was half awake and could not go back to sleep. I checked out that morning!

It’s a clean property but in a few places on the wall there are stains. It’s a bit of a walk to the riverwalk but not terrible. I knew this when I booked it. Overall a good property with excellent customer service.

Driving up I was nervous by the looks outside. I was pleasantly surprised by a few things. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and I felt safe as I was on upper floor and the door to get inside the lobby was locked up at night. The hotel is small but it is very close to Alamodome and the riverwalk.

The room smelled of heavy deodorizer to mask some other odor. I am allergic to many odors especially if they are strong. The mini fridge was frozen up so would not keep anything cold. The night stands looked like they hadn’t been dusted in a month.

When I arrived, all the doors were locked and no one was at the check out counter. I stood there for 15 minutes on the street with my suitcase. I called and got no answer. It was 6 pm. I ended up staying with a friend somewhere else and losing my money. When i called back a few days later to check and see if my reservation was still standing, the receotionist was rude and hung up on me.

It was very clean and nice. No continental breakfast, nothing like that. Not a lot of coffee and coins to use the vending machine which is kind of archaic in this day and age. But overall it was pleasant.

Pros: The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Free parking. 18 minute walk to the River Walk. I would definitely stay here again. Cons: Just for awareness, the area of the town is not the best, but there is nothing the hotel can do about this.

Mini Trip to the Riverwalk
The lady at the front desk was very nice. Location was great. I recommend walking the short trip to the Riverwalk and utilize the free hotel parking. By the time you get to the river walk by car, find a parking spot and pay the minimum of $20, we could have arrived by walking and enjoyed ourselves instead of the chaos while finding parking. Rooms were very clean. For the price I wasn’t expecting quality, but we got it. It was overall a comfortable quiet stay.

Great location and walkable distance to St Paul Square and Riverwalk. The hotel is like new the rooms are nice, very clean and beds very comfortable. The front desk husband and wife who run it are very nice people. Just so others who wanna book, the parking lot is limited and so only one vehicle allowed per reservation/booking. But everything else was great and I enjoyed my stay.

Not a bad place but definitely not upscale. The hotel its self was in a great location and affordable for it being close to downtown (short 15 min walk). However, due to it being so close to a busy road, it was far from quiet. On the flip side, beds were comfortable and the room was a decent size.

The employee at check-in was very friendly. The lobby is small. When we entered the room, we noticed that the ac controller on the wall was coming out. We took a picture and showed it to the employee. He said it was non-functional anyway so no problem. We just didn't want to be charged. The room was clean and updated and enough room for 2 people. It was on the top floor as requested. The frigerator, microwave, coffee maker, wi-fi, and air conditioning all worked great. Lighting was good. Water temperatures and pressure we're fine. The bed was ok, large, clean but firm. The pillows are too small. Parking can be limited. We were fine as we were there on a Thursday. It is less than a mile from the majestic theater. Felt very safe and was so quiet, despite the occasional truck and train horns, but nothing too extreme. We never actually saw or heard another guest. Recommend and will return.

I loved that this property was within walking distance to the Alamodome. It's a small hotel and was neat and clean. The room seemed much more humid than the outdoors, but the price was very affordable. The bed was comfortable for me, but a bit too firm for my husband. The gentleman running the hotel said his in-laws owned it and were out of town so he was taking care of the business while they were gone. He was super friendly. The parking is scare and tight.There is only one spot per room. If you own a large truck, beware that you'll have to do some maneuvering to get it in. It's more of an alley than a parking lot. Check-in might not be quick because the staff (at least while we were there) wear all the hats. You have to ring a bell to get in. The gentleman working during our stay actually called us to see when we were checking in. I thought he was just confirming that we were still coming because they were sold out, but he later told us the real reason he called was because he needed to leave the property to get a part for a toilet. We ended up arriving earlier than we'd told him we would and couldn't get in. Another guest ended up letting us in and we had to wait 20 minutes or so for the guy to return and give us our keys. It was a mild inconvenience, but could have been stressful if we were on a tight schedule. All in all, I would probably still stay there again just for the convenience and affordability.
