"We visited July of 2025 had a fantastic adventure. We were looking for some time to exhale, break from the chaos of the city, and the commercialism of most destinations. Found it! Andros, the people, and property were all amazing and were just what we were looking for! slow pace, non commercialized, very authentic eco Bahamas.Stephen was great to communicate with on planning our trip and logistics. Make time to talk with him. His guidance made our trip. Helped us with everything we needed. Had a couple days of flyfishing with guide Solomon Murphy..epic bonefish at Joulters and West Side. Joulters is a bucket list, "bonefish capital of the world". DO IT. I highly highly recommend Solomon. We spent some time with Charlie and had a blast.We snorkeled, grilled lobster, conch ceviche, fresh coconuts and mangos.... and cold Kahliks!It was Andros Ragatta week / Bahamian Independence Day (July 10) so joined the party and the food! Hung out with Kizzy and Jay at Below Deck..one of my new favorite places! We truly adventured around the island. Blue Holes, Andros town, Red Bay, Androsia. Pleasant Dreams was a perfict fit. clean, offered what we needed, location was quiet, beach and bay are amazing. I learned many stories about the history, met many amazing people and fell in love with the waters around Andros. It was in my list to visit the bonefish capital of the world, but Andros is so much more. 10/10 we will return!Jason and PaulaVirginia"

"The property is well-maintained and easy to find. It gets fantastic sea breezes, which keep the cottage feeling fresh and cool throughout the day. Both bedrooms have heat pumps, which made for comfortable sleeping even on warmer nights.The beach right outside is beautiful, and once the stairs and seawall are repaired, access will be even better. During our stay, we just had to take a short walk around a neighboring property to reach the beach, which wasn’t a problem at all.Just a heads-up: the listing mentions in-cabin laundry, but it’s actually located at a nearby laundromat. That said, all the essentials (wifi, tv, fridge, kettle, microwave, and stove) were in great working condition. The shower also had strong water pressure, which was a nice bonus.Overall I would recommend this as a place to relax and unwind."

Moreover, I have spent considerable time all over Andros, which I consider to be amongst the best bonefishing in the world. From fishing a killer flat right out your front door to venturing further (maybe to experience the fabled Westside fishing of Red bays), you can't go wrong choosing Seaside Getaway. Your options are endless and only bounded by a willingness to read the tides and put in time to explore. You will find your host, Santisha, to be super communicative and helpful for any of your needs. One of the great things about choosing to stay at Seaside Getaway is you can arrange to rent her vehicle for the duration of your stay. This makes it super easy to travel the Queens Highway in search of awesome flats, beautiful beaches and that special hidden bar for a refreshing Kalik. (I suggest you visit the local bar called The After Spot and get to know Brittany and her group of Stafford Queens...they are simply the best)If you want to experience the best of DIY bonefishing, then I highly recommend you book this hidden gem.
