Needs Attention
I hate giving bad reviews, but this will be one of those. But not completely negative. The hotel itself is absolutely breath-takingly beautiful. Marble staircase, a pool which could be from a movie, greenery and shrubbery gently surround the hotel structure. The hotel is truly idyllic.
There is a magnificently laid back atmosphere in the premises itself. Unfortunately, that laid-back atmosphere has as much to do with the general ambience of the hotel, as it does for the fact that the management is never there. There is a hand-written note with telephone numbers for any traveler/guest with questions. The hotel is advertised as having WI FI internet. For the week I was there was hardly any connection at all. Management, when they were around, while they appeared concerned about the matter, were apparently unable or unwilling to fix the problem. Samos has internet service; this hotel does not.
Finally, the rooms were cleaned for only one of the days I was there.
What is troubling is the absentee management. There is a pool and mistakes could happen. If there is a real emergency at the pool, or anywhere else in the hotel for that matter, well, I don’t have to tell you what might happen.
The Zarifia Apartments needs a stronger competent management presence. Once they get their act together they will have a first class establishment.
