"As Americans, we had no experience with the area but trusted the exceptional reviews that chalet Marmot has. It was INCREDIBLE.Great views, easy check in process, close to 3 chair lifts for skiing. The chalet could comfortably take 3-4 families and we were happy there with out 2 families.Slightly off the beaten path, this place felt lived in but modern and beautiful, which is exactly what we had hoped for. Although further from an airport you'll have easy access (less than 5 minutes) to downtown Samoens, a large grocery store and restaurants. If your family are avid skiers or just want an authentic French Alps experience, I cant recommend this place enough. "

"The apartment was clean, warm, private and welcoming. Facilities for home cooking, plenty of hot water once we got familiarised with it. Very easy walking access to local supermarket, town and ski station. The walk to the ski station is beautiful by the river. Brilliant onsite pizzeria, just right beside the apartment. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The only concern we had was poor lighting on the brief approach to the apartment, with a torch or phone light required until you reach the back entrance. Bridget was very responsive and quick to get back to us. Great host, great apartment. We will definitely return."

"Room was really clean on arrival. Spacious apartment with balcony facing two ways (went round the side of the apartment). Reception staff were all lovely too. I enjoyed the free visit to the sauna & steam room, which was also clean. I didn’t use the pool but saw a group enjoying it while I was steaming away. It’s 2 stops on the bus, which stops right outside the residence. It’s about a 15 min walk from the GME but I often got the bus to ‘Cinema’, did my shopping at the Sherpa supermarche and enjoyed th peaceful walk over the river back to Lagrange. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was SUPER comfy (I’m very fussy with beds!). It was a hybrid mattress that wasn’t too firm or too soft and was thicker than many French places I’ve stayed at. It was extremely peaceful and would definitely recommend staying there. Nothing to groan about at all!"
