  • The vintage Nor’easter Beach Cottage boasts a laid back tropical feel. Tasteful, updated, clean, and comfortable. This property is located on a private street, (some locals call it the BEST street in Salvo), and is just 45 steps to discreet beach access and a mere 2 minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. This area is one of the best stretches of beach on the OBX and the private access means you will always get the best seat on the sand.

    The Nor’easter Beach Cottage is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. There are no shared bedroom walls! The ground level has parking for two vehicles, access to the very private outdoor shower with hot water, charcoal grill, large locking storage room, and fish cleaning station. The front porch is well furnished including a hot tub! Inside you will find quality furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, and relaxing coastal decor. The living area has plenty of space to relax and watch cable television. The dining area has a stunning custom made live edge wood table that seats six. The kitchen is well appointed and equipped for any meals you may plan. It has stainless steel appliances, a three seat breakfast bar and an extra large pantry. One of the main level bedroom has a queen size bed, eastern facing windows, storage, and private access to the main level bathroom. The second main level bedroom has twin bunks beds, a pull out twin bed, and plenty of storage. There is a laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer. Also on the main level is a second living space with a pull out couch, streaming television, wet bar and small dining space.
    Upstairs there are two bedrooms: a primary suite with a balcony with east and west views, private access to upstairs bathroom, streaming television, large closets, and plenty of space for a pack and play. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, eastern facing windows, streaming TV, and ample storage.

    Life on Hatteras Island has it's own pace. There is no place like this on earth! The beaches are pristine and literally stretch for miles and miles of white sand and dunes. You will see dolphins, pelicans, crabs, and amazing seashells everyday. You are centrally located to ALL Rodanthe/Waves/Salvo has to offer. Bring or rent bikes and ride the tri-city bike path to the market, dinner, ice cream shop, cafe, or the sound. Whether you are a beach lover, surfer, fishing enthusiast, enjoy birdwatching, kite surfing, paddle boarding, bike riding, want to see the piers, lighthouses, and historical monuments or just chill out and read a book, this property is for you.

The PERFECT location! Just a short walk and you’re on the beach. The house is very spacious and clean. We kept an eye for rentals for a long time and this place couldn’t be beat! Price, location, amenities, etc CAN’T be beat!

This property was more than we expected. I love how the house was divided up, a great play area for kids including games & toys for all ages.TV in every room.and a fully equipted kitchen with all accessories the only thing missing was an air fryer. I loved how quiet the location was. The beach access was a bit much for older people but was worth the walk to have a private beach area

Great place to stay!

Clean, well kept beach cottage! We enjoyed time with family, playing on the beach, and watching the sunrises. Nice to have kids toys available for the littles!

Fantastic Property

We could not have been more happy with our stay. This properties location is perfectly nestled on a quiet street just steps from the beach but close enough to the necessities too. We’d definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in a quieter part of the OBX. We look forward to being able to come back.

Small family getaway

The pictures for the house dont do it any justice what so ever. Way better than expected, quiet friendly street with easy access to the beach and short drives to the near by shops and diners.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach house! It was spacious, spotless, and had more than enough room for our family, including my sister and her family. The layout was perfect, our kids had their own space to hang out, watch TV, and play games, while the adults could relax in a separate living area or prepare meals in peace.The location couldn’t have been better. The beach was just a short walk away, making it easy for the kids to enjoy the ocean whenever they wanted. There was also a bike shop within walking distance, where we rented bikes and explored the island. We rode everywhere, from cruising around the neighborhood to visiting local restaurants, and it made our vacation even more memorable.Kelley was also a wonderful host. She was friendly, responsive, and quick to answer any questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free.This beach house has everything you need and was the perfect place to relax, spend quality time together, and experience everything beach and island life has to offer. We made wonderful family memories here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing beach getaway. We hope to come back again soon!

Beautiful Place

Perfect location for walking to the beach. Close enough to places like Kitty Hawk to drive without being in the crowd full-time. Beautiful place to relax. The kitchen is set up well for cooking. Be cautious if a lot of rain is expected due to flash flooding.

Amazing

This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we absolutely loved it. The Nor’easter is in a great location and the amenities provide exactly what’s needed. The house was very clean and the owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. The location was perfect for us and we couldn’t have picked a better house for our first visit. We’re already planning our next trip and can’t wait to explore more of the Outer Banks.

Spacious house with modern appliances and hot showers

This was our first house rental in OBX. Online description was spot on about distance to beach and interior of house. Kitchen was nice as well as the bedrooms. Bathroom shower was nice and plenty of hat water. First time in hottub and had a fun time. The boys played cornhole in back yard. We would stay there again.

Family Time

We booked this rather last minute and were happy to rent it for a long weekend. Since it had more bedrooms than 3 of us needed, we were so glad that a few of our married children and spouses could come too. We could walk to the beach, and spent most of a day there. The house was very clean and up to date and had what we needed. The hot tub was enjoyed as well.

Perfect for families

Our stay at NorEaster was perfect! We had children ages 3-12, parents and grandparents and we all found the place to fit our needs perfectly. Just yards from beach access and a very short drive to the Salvo Day Use Area for the little ones. The house was spotless, with all the amenities we needed for the week, and very well furnished. The meals we shared together were a true highlight. We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and that the kids could bike on the street. We will make every attempt to bring our family here again!

What a delight.

Our one-week stay here at the Nor'easter was filled with gratitude and enjoyment. A short walk to the quiet beach proved extremely convenient. Evenings of soaking in the hot tub and grilling on the backyard certainly brought smiles to our faces. Note: bring bug spray! There are a lot of mosquitoes. Kelley is a top notch host, and we wouldn't hesitate booking again in the future.

Great place to unwind

We had a great time, plenty of space for our group of 10 to spread out. Location was perfect for easy access to beaches. We walked on to the beach some days, the house is just steps to the dunes and went to the off road beaches other days just a few minutes drive. Only minor hiccup is the listing said 3 bathrooms but it is only 2 with an nice outdoor shower. We made it work and the extra outdoor shower made it manageable to get 10 people cleaned up after the beach.

2nd year memory making

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is again, everything youd want and more. Kelley is beyond responsive, very quick with answers, we couldnt want more. The house is so clean, neat, well organized, well prepared for a larger family, close walak to the beach thru a beaituful shaded walk to the dunes. The kids 5, ages 4-11 were so excited to go back to "our" beach house for the 2nd year, as this is how we have decided to buikd our memories with our kids who have come from other walks of live to our home and life. We are excited to book again for next year. THANK YOU!

Great place to stay!

My 5 children (ages 11-21) and I had a great time here. Everything was very clean, the beds were comfortable, we could all spread out, the kitchen was stocked with supplies so we could make meals. The host was very responsive. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach. Nearest big grocery store was about 25 minutes away so have your supplies before arriving. 😊 The only small issue we had was in our last morning we ran out of toilet paper in one bathroom and could have used another garbage bag. I’m sure if I would’ve contacted the host, she would have resolved it but we made due. We would definitely stay here again!

Can’t recommend this place more! From the well stocked kitchen to the great beach access to the cleanliness, it was everything it should have been AND MORE! Tropical storm Ophelia hit the night we got there, so we stayed inside for a whole day- they had lots of toys stowed in the closet, and lots of coloring books and crayons and games for our 4 kids! No one got bored!! Kelley was quick to respond to any messages I sent, and I have no doubt if we had problems she would have addressed them immediately. They had great selection of sand toys and kids stuff and chairs umbrella boogie boards etc for the beach, SO nice that we didn’t have to bring that stuff along or go buy it. Playpen was super nice and handy. Having linens provided was SO NICE! The beach access was so perfect and an easy walk back and forth! We have so many good memories and we REALLY hope to stay here again in the years to come!!!

Great place to stay!

Great home in a fantastic location! House is very tastefully decorated and is full of awesome furniture pieces. The location is perfect and is central to the Tri-Village area as well as other parts of OBX. Hot tub, wi-fi, and cable are all excellent. Hope to stay again one day!

Relaxing Stay
