Cozy Mountain Cabin and Barn Get Away

While we deal with the what is going with the corona virus, I want to reassure you that we disinfect and clean as if I would be staying. We disinfect and clean all touchable surfaces, knobs, countertops after each guests.

For a great mountain get away that is still close to many activities and mountain explorations you will love to stay at Mulberry Acres. A rustic hideaway nestled in the mountains of Saluda NC. This rustic cabin has a relaxing deck out front and as you enter you will find a full kitchen with new appliances, living area and bathroom with a shower. On the main level there is a ceder walled queen bedroom which was once a horse stall and has now been beautifully remodeled. In the upstairs loft (1000 sq ft), there is another sitting area, double bed, and two twin beds, there is a total of 1600 sq ft. This cabin is located on a gated 2.5 acres which is completely fenced in. The property boasts a small stream, picnic table and fire pit. We do have Internet.
Did I mention that on a clear night you can reach up and almost touch the stars?

We are just a few minutes from the historic town of Saluda, NC. Saluda is home to the oldest grocery store in NC, a railroad museum packed with history, Green River Rafting, and many gift shops. We are about 30 minutes from the Tryon Equestrian Center. We are centrally located between Asheville NC and Greenville SC. You can enjoy day trips to the Biltmore House, River Arts district in Asheville and various antique shopping destinations. We are also close to Hendersonville, NC which has many main street shopping and restaurants.

For the outdoor enthusiast there is Pearson Falls, many hiking trails and cyclist riding. We are close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain, plus so much more. Since we are in a secluded location if we are going to have extreme bad weather which is usually during winter or spring we need to have the right to cancel. It is for your safety.

Bob and Deb are fantastic hosts! So is Lilly( their dog)!! They have transformed what was an old horse barn into an oasis of peace from this harried world. We will definitely be returning.

Our kids LOVED the converted barn. They played outside in the creek and in the yard. Debbie was absolutely wonderful and so welcoming. It had everything we needed and was an awesome home base for our State Park adventures. The little cookies and chips and water bottles were such a nice touch. Our kids loved them!!

IF YOU'RE READING THIS - BOOK THIS CABIN ! The owner's were fast to communicate and very helpful. Also, they were very hospitable: when we arrived late, they had the lights turned on; they had Keurig and drip coffee with creamers, plus yoghurts and breakfast bars for free; and they told us where some nearby waterfalls were for great hiking. Seriously, I've never had such a great experience in all my HomeAways !

Our family was in need for a quiet getaway and this was the perfect spot. Bob, Debbie, Betty Jane were the perfect hosts. They were easy to contact and were quick to make sure that we were comfortable in every way. The house was better than we imagined and you can tell love that went into renovating it. Saluda is the sweetest town with Hendersonville just 20 minutes away. We look forward to returning!

We absolutely loved this cabin! The pictures don’t do it justice. It was super clean and so much larger than expected. My kids (14 and 11) stayed upstairs and it’s like they had their own little cabin. We forgot to bring coffee so we were pleasantly surprised when we saw the coffee and creamer options! Debbie was so nice and welcoming! (And we loved our visit from Lilly too!) As for Saluda, it is a must!! The cabin was within 6 miles of all of the activities yet it felt like we were in the middle of the woods. Very relaxing and cute town. We will definitely be back!

I stayed for two nights and I wish I would’ve stayed longer. The host Debbie and her husband are probably some of the nicest individuals I’ve ever met. They did something for us personally that I would have never expected! The cabin was also way bigger than I expected, especially after I went to the loft! The cabin was really nice, but that loft was nothing short of amazing. If you have the chance to stay here… you will not regret it.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay. We were warmly greeted at our arrival and surprised by the snacks for us. We all stayed upstairs in the loft like a big slumber party. Plenty of room as the home was bigger than expected. A wonderful job converting the barn into a home. We loved the rustic, cozy feel. It was so peaceful and quiet. The location was perfect for all the places we wanted to visit. Each night we enjoyed playing family games together. All in all we truly loved the family time we spent together here.

We loved our stay in Debbie’s barn cabin. She graciously waited up for us to greet us as we drove in though it was late. The second we walked in we felt at home. One reviewer said it was like a warm hug, and that’s how I’d describe it as well. It was also SO clean. The linens were all clean and soft. Our children loved the decor and had fun sleeping in the huge loft together. They kept saying they felt like they were in a Laura Ingalls Wilder book! The snacks were also a very nice surprise. We loved all the books and everything about this renovated cabin made us smile realizing the owners are people of true character. It was a pleasure staying here, and we plan to return, hopefully soon!

Lovely quiet cabin in the country. Debbie's directions were perfect, and we had no problem finding the place even with arriving late in the evening. All of the little appointments were much appreciated, from the coffee and creamers to the chips and cookies. The kitchen and bath were well appointed with everything a family would need to prepare meals in the cabin. The upstairs loft is much larger than you might expect. It has two single beds, a double bed, and a futon that could sleep one adult or two little ones. The location is about as quiet as you could ask for. Debbie and Robert were wonderful friendly hosts! Downtown Saluda, Flat Rock, and Hendersonville a short drive away. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are less than an hour away. Pearsons Falls and Melrose Falls (great hike and fantastic high falls) are less than 15 minutes away.

Wonderful open space upstairs. Great for sleeping, reading and family game time. Rain on metal roof was devine! Poor tv/cell phone reception, but didn’t really need either. Land line worked for calling restaurant to make reservations. Great selection of family games. DVD player was great for kid movies. Kitchen stocked for basic needs. Hosts provided extras in fridge which was an unexpected treat. Needed a non-stick frying pan, which we bought and left for future guests. Needed a grater, but improvised. The 1 bath is a challenge with 5 people, but doable. Would be great if there was at least another 1/2bath. Hosts are wonderful people, very accommodating. Cabin is converted barn, very charming with great decor and comfortable beds. Located a good distance behind host’s home, inside a fenced yard. Very secure. Homeowner provided remote for electric gate. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had the best experience renting this cabin. The owners are close by and great with communication. The cabin is much larger than it seems in photos. The upstairs is huge and our three girls loved having such a big space. The cabin has everything you need and is decorated so cute. We were there during a huge snow and the cabin was so warm and cozy. The girls were able to enjoy the snow in the enormous yard and field. The check in couldn’t be simpler and the cabin was extremely clean. We would absolutely stay again!
