Unable to stay due to electrical safety, insufficient cooling and cleanliness
THE OWNER (CHAD) UNWILLING TO REFUND ANY PORTION OF STAY DESPITE HIS GUESTS BEING UNABLE TO STAY PAST ONE NIGHT BECAUSE OF ELECTRICAL SAFETY CONCERNS. Issues with this BASEMENT unit- Electrical: One guest was injured by electrical shock when plugging in cellphone into a power outlet. AC unit lost power twice over night due to a popped circuit breaker. Outlets loose and didn’t hold plugs: devices fell out. One bedroom's side lamps did not work. The front porch light flickers like a strobe light. Cooling: Single AC unit in living room could not cool the unit. Ceiling fan in one bedroom wobbled so hard it shook the window. Bedroom windows have no screens and are at ground level bordering driveway and parking lot making opening a safety concern. Ambiance: The house smells musty. The linoleum floor has cigarette burns and were dirty/stained. There were spider nests in window sills. Parking: The reserved spot is directly up against a wooden fence and another unit's spot making it hard to get in or out. Also the quadplex's garbage dumpster is located directly behind the spot. We did not stay past one night as we did not feel safe in the unit due to electrical problems, poor cooling and cleanliness. It was unreasonably warm in the unit with the stand alone ac unit in the living room unable to cool any other room except the room it is in. We were booked for 4 nights and received no refund for the 3 nights we did not stay.

Condo was just what we needed. Me and my son were on our way to Boulder, CO and after 10plus hours on the road the SLC Sugar House was a perfect spot for to stop and rest for the night.

Great place in cute neighborhood
Our stay was great! We were there for 3 nights. It is very resonantly priced with 2 spacious bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a cozy living room. It’s in a cute neighborhood and the property owner was very helpful with check in and suggestions on places to visit/ eat/ drink at in town!

Great location for a Salt Lake area ski stay!
Clean and safe; great neighborhood. Outmoded building lacked a few things upon check in such as correct WiFi login, working lamps and some dinnerware. Chad the manager provided these upon notification and we're sure he'll provide them before the next check in. The heater is loud and next to the table.

My coworker smoked and left cigarette buts at the floor by the entrance, the administrator came to the apartment and with rude attitude ask me to pick them up right away, Then came to bring a key for the laundry room, and spoke to my roommate with totally different attitude. I felt kind of racist attitude tours me because I am Latin man, and my coworker is not Maybe I am wrong but it was the way he made me feel

Nice stay!
Simple but clean and well equipped, this basement apartment is in a great neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants and surrounded by charming craftsman homes.It took us only 25 min. to drive to Park City. Chad was very helpful and responsive.

Pros and cons
Chad was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. I found it odd that the check-in instructions discouraged us from saying that we were using an Airbnb so as not to upset the neighbors, and to bring in our luggage gradually instead of all at once. It seemed sketchy. It was in a great location and within walking distance of Sugar House. At 6am I was greeted by a cockroach on the kitchen floor, which had presumably entered via a hole next to the air vent. I shared the info with Chad and he was very apologetic and was going to look into it. I am super sensitive to mold/mildew and I could tell it was present in this basement apartment. I had been fighting off the beginnings of a head cold, but my stay in the mildew environment launched me into a full blown head cold that I am recovering from. The best part was the location and how quick Chad was to communicate.

Sugar House - 2BR/1Ba Apartment
My daughter and I enjoyed a 3 night stay at this apartment in the Sugar House neighborhood. We explored Salt Lake City & surrounding locales after spending a few days hiking in UT National Parks. While the apartment is a bit dated, it was very clean and provided us the essential things we needed. A good bed, a great shower, a fully equipped kitchen (mostly used refrigerator, microwave & coffee pot) within an excellent location. The Sugar House neighborhood provides many great restaurant options and a grocery store minutes away. It felt very safe. We would absolutely stay there on our next visit to SLC!!

It was close to what we needed. Fire alarm fell off the ceiling, the bottom grate fell out of the furnace door, the entrance area was dirty, there was no AC and when we discovered there was a portable we had no clue where to put it or how. Old and in need of some serious revamping. was not worth the money. I would not stay there again nor recommend it.

Great Sugarhouse location
Great location for Sugarhouse, downtown, and skiing. Close to restaurants, groceries. Has everything you basically need but not a lot of frills. Great communication from host. I’d rent it again on my next ski trip.

The location is fantastic. We found a lot of local shops that we enjoyed frequenting each morning and evening. It was an easy drive up the mountain for skiing. Great value for a comfortable two bedroom apartment with ample common space. We really enjoyed our stay!

The owner was extremely detailed and initially very responsive. However, one would think the place would be very well kept: it was not. There were spots and splatters on the cealing. There were large burns in the vinyl flooring. I suspect, given the directions about discretion, this is a rental that someone is VRBO without permission.
