Excellent location. A bit tricky to get to if arriving by train. Air conditioner like most European hotels a little lacking. Breakfast good but very crowded, requires a reservation time, yet still long lines.

Obviously the main selling point for this hotel is the location! The room was basic but functional. It could have done with more pillows. Some of the maintenance wasn't great - the door handle to the bathroom kept coming off. It could do with more plug sockets. Dinner and breakfast are very good - a large buffet with a good selection and surprisingly good food.

We had a brilliant stay at Hotel Good River. Great value for a 4 night stay including breakfast which offered a great selection of options. Staff were helpful and well organised at getting lots of people seated quickly. Loved how near the park we were and enjoyed the pool too.

Excellent stay, convenient for the parks a d big interconnecting rooms for a family of 5 with two bathrooms. There is a kitchenette which is not stocked with anything other than a fridge, microwave and tap (no utensils, kettle etc) which seemed a bit pointless. Check in was really quick and staff were friendly. We loved breakfast and thought dinner was fine. Only water is included with dinner, and juice/milk/chocolate milk with breakfast. The water supply could be better across the whole resort - very limited places to fill water bottles/fountains, and the water I s mostly lukewarm.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at PortAventura Hotel Gold River as a family of four, with our two children aged 10 and 12. The hotel was excellent and the Wild West theme made the whole experience feel like part of the adventure. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for all four of us, and the location within the resort was brilliant. The biggest bonus was the unlimited access to PortAventura Park, which made it so easy to come and go without having to worry about tickets. Having a full day included at Ferrari Land was also a real highlight, and the kids absolutely loved it. There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, with fantastic rides, shows and attractions for both children and adults. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk straight from the hotel into the park and make the most of our time there. Overall, it was a brilliant family break. The combination of a great hotel, excellent park access and Ferrari Land made it really good value and took away much of the hassle of organising everything separately. We would definitely stay at Hotel Gold River again and would highly recommend it to families looking for a fun-filled PortAventura getaway.

Really enjoyed the overall visit, facilities were great, buffet was well organised! Unfortunately I did have someone next to me who had a child making a lot of noise so it did mean not much sleep, but would happily return! Staff were very friendly also!

Lake of options for food at night. Included meals with rate had no reservations available and were not able to use. Better understanding of requirements pre arrival would have been helpful. Room was small and could be updated.

Stayed at Callaghan's (part of Gold River Hotel). Quiet hotel, big rooms and good beds. Easy parking, delicious breakfast and buffet dinner. Hotel is closeby entrance of Port Aventura, has a great swimming pool. Staff is friendly.

Accommodation is ok and delivers to promise with kind employees, but service is always a bit too slow to what one would expect with long queues for breakfast and dinner. In general, a good value for money, but don’t expect any luxury.

Fantastic hotel, we stayed at the Callaghan building but used the main hotel for check in and meal times. It was spotless, staff were friendly and everyone in our family loved the theme. Hotel has own entrance to the park which was handy. Food was very good, huge choice at buffet. Drinks prices were very reasonable. Would recommend.

We had a great time in PortAventura, we stayed in Gold River Callaghan. We had full board; breakfast and dinner were at the main building; for lunch you have QR codes and use it various restaurants in all over the park. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. ParkAventura park was all fun, and staff were great.

The main hotel seemed nice on arrival, staff polite and happy to help. Buffet Breakfast was well organised with time slots and good variety of well booked food. The rooms needs modernising and look tired and a little outdated but the main issue is that we got bitten within the room and following GP appointment on our return have been advised that they are “bed bug” bites. We have advised the hotel of our room number and hope they deep clean and destroy mattress and bedding. We have ok return used smoke bombs and sprays to ensure that we haven’t brought any bed bugs home with us in luggage or on clothing. Access to the theme park was easy but it’s a shame as out of season that lots of rides weren’t open, with shorter access times
