The Inn at Houndslake

10/10 Excellent

"This is my second stay at this hotel including a trip in 2024. It is a very quiet location and not far from various restaurants, shopping, banking and just about anything else you can think of with a 5-10 minute drive to Whiskey Rd. They are currently doing some renovations to the rooms by removing the carpets and installing wood floors, which have a nice look. As during my trip in 24, the staff is VERY helpful with any questions or information you ask them for. The rooms are cleaned well and they will respond to any issues you may have in the room quickly. The daily continental breakfast does not have many items or variety, but once again, Whiskey road has many breakfast spots. The rooms are well insulated as far as I noticed, very quiet, with golf course scenery on one side and the front of the hotel and pool area on the other. If you are a golfer, it's a good location. If you like cleanliness, peacefulness and easy access to food, shopping and ease of movement. this may be the place you are looking for."

"Angel, who works the desk and Debbie, who works in the breakfast area are the nicest, most helpful people you’ll ever meet. The room was large with a desk, tv, coffee pot and coffees, and a refrigerator with a freezer that really freezes. The bathroom was clean and had wall mounted soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. There is a multiplug on one bedstand but only one outlet on the other side. The bed was comfortable with 4 pillows of varying firmness. The only thing that was not pleasant was the frequent loud, grinding noises that came from the elevator around the corner from my room"

Quality Inn & Suites Aiken East

"The check in was smooth, the room smelled real musty when we told the front desk they handed us Lysol the shower upon turning on shot out brown water which grossed my wife out to where she didn’t want to take a shower we went to use the pool at 11 am and it was locked up they said opens at 1 pm due to new customers coming in but us that are still checked in can’t use it until 1 which was ridiculous, the breakfast was poorly done waffle batter taste old I give our stay a 3 out of 10 and not staying there anymore"

Carriage House Inn

10/10 Excellent

"What a wonderful stay we had at the Carriage House Inn! My mom, sister and I were in town for a funeral and we were all able to stay in one spacious king suite, due to the Murphy bed in the kitchen/living room area (with two porches to enjoy, with views of the lovely courtyard). The Inn is right in the middle of town with ample free parking, and free buffet/cooked to order breakfast each morning, all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!"

Clarion Inn & Suites Aiken South

10/10 Excellent

"The front desk lady was very attentive and kind. They had clean rooms. I had a hot tub in room, coffee pot, hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, and ice bucket. Very accommodating. Staff on point. Best breakfast i have had at a hotel. With a little dining area in front lobby. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!"

"This place is more money than is worth it’s dirty and front desk staff are rude and can’t answer simple questions. I had a small dog which is a support dog and they charged me $100 and told me I wasn’t allowed to stay there anymore. The dog is no problem at all and is very much trained."

"The lobby inside is about the only thing that was clean. Let's back up and start by saying my original trip for my anniversary was changed, so we chose to rent a room for the weekend and enjoy a hot tub jacuzzi . Entering the room there was torn wallpaper, filth and dirt everywhere. I spent an hour with my own cleaning supplies cleaning the room. Sanitized everything. The bed sheets had stains so I brought my own. The room was much better when I left. The jacuzzi was perfect. The 2nd day did not have water for about 4 hrs. The place. Could have a very nice Hotel if the owner would update the room and clean up the property. Train your employees the right way. I could have those rooms in tip top shape in no time. Maintenance would be fired. Front desk staff are rude. Not much for a breakfast but nice. I personally heard the front desk staff and maid talking about me for asking for more coffee and towels. Disrespectful. Would not waste my money again."
