Starry Skies Glamping Escape

Starry Skies Glamping Escape

"the glamping tent that is situated at the Manzano mountain retreat in New Mexico was really cool! the staff was incredible and the environment was beautiful! the only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is because during the day the tent was soooo hot! it has a big vinyl window instead of fine mesh that basically tuns it into a greenhouse...they did have portable AC units inside but in the heat of the day it did not work. other than that, it was fantastic! i do believe these would be a hit for Fall camping."

"It was beautiful and just as described. We'd had some traveling challenges and really needed a good shower and good sleep. Both delivered! Morning coffee in the shade on the patio with the beautiful view was great medicine as well! I wish we'd had more time there. Thank you."

Starry Skies & Fresh Air Glamping Escape

Starry Skies & Fresh Air Glamping Escape

10/10 Excellent
"The drive to our glamping experience was a treat of its own. We saw so many deer sitting under trees and strolling around as we approached the retreat. Our host, Annie, made us feel immediately welcome. Our tent was luxurious with exactly what was needed to make our stay perfect. It had a spacious area, water bottles in the mini fridge and a Keurig machine with plenty of coffee. The heated mattress added comfort and we really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. Full bath restrooms were very clean and each had showers. The fish pond was a short walk away and so many fish could be seen enjoying their habitat. Then we went to dinner. We were celebrating a birthday so balloon centerpieces were placed on our group table. We were given complimentary fried pickles and onion rings to start. Everyone was so friendly and so professional. Our food was plentiful, top rated and very delicious. It was all picture perfect. If you call in a special request that is not on the menu, it will be done for you to perfection. We picked up apple cider and gift items from the mercantile store. The youngsters and adults as well loved the animals and fed them grass. Some of us played horseshoes while others got to unwind, relax and enjoy ourselves. The apple orchard had trees budding with promises of fruit to come. There is so much more, these are the highlights."

Glamping Escape in the Manzanos

Glamping Escape in the Manzanos

10/10 Excellent
"The people running the property were so nice and accommodating. We came on a very cold day where temperatures were around 25 F at night. They brought us electric space heaters for our tent and each bed had a heated mattress pad or blanket. They mentioned that the new bathrooms just opened. 4 full bathrooms that were heated and equipped with stand up showers, just a short walk from our tent. We didn't end up eating in the restaurant due to our timing of coming and going but it was nice that they had the option as there are no individual fire pits at each tent. We're from the Midwest so cooking over a fire is normal camping stuff for us. There were no other cooking options and there are no other restaurants/grocery stores around for about 30 minutes so if you had little kids, best to bring a lot of shelf stable snacks. We used our Keurig in the tent to make some instant oatmeal cups for breakfast and brought some ramen cups in case we needed a snack. The tent was just as pictured and was clean and comfortable. It was too cold for us to enjoy much of the property (apple orchard, ropes course) but it all looked like it would be beautiful in warmer months. Overall, a very nice stay and would highly recommend."
