Hotel La Maria

Hotel La Maria
3.5 star property
Guiuan
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (30 reviews)
"This is probably the best value accommodation in Guiuan and surrounding area. It offers efficient, accommodating available early check-in, efficient FD staff, and excellent freshly made Filipino breakfast. This 4-story property, unfortunately, does not provide elevator service making it a less than ideal place for guests with mobility issue. This deficiency is offset by a superb bell hop and housekeeping service staff that's eager to extend assistsnce when one is needed."

Lawaan
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (1 review)
"Beautiful gardens and location with jungle mountains in the background. There is a pool on the way which will be a real bonus. The host retired Aussie Trevor and wife Jessa really make you feel like you're at home, while Ramil who apart from being a jack of all trades is a fantastic cook and takes care of any requests you may have. Jupiter's is a fun bar to hang out at night and sing a song if your keen."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Salcedo?
The best area to stay in Salcedo, for those seeking quality and convenience, is along the coastline near the town centre.

This area offers direct access to the beach and is close to local amenities. You'll find a selection of guesthouses and resorts that provide comfortable stays with ocean views. The main road, which runs parallel to the coast, connects these accommodations to the small shops and eateries in the heart of Salcedo.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate this area. The coastal setting provides a tranquil backdrop for romantic strolls along the shore, and many accommodations offer private balconies where you can enjoy the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. It's also a good base for exploring nearby natural attractions, such as the waterfalls and caves found inland.

For families, staying near the town centre also proves convenient. Access to local markets and small restaurants makes meal planning straightforward, and the calm waters along the coast are suitable for children to paddle in.
When is the best time to go to Salcedo?
When planning a trip to Salcedo, the best time to visit is during the dry season, which typically runs from December to May.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and more sunshine, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the coastline, visiting waterfalls, or enjoying the local markets. The sea conditions are generally calmer, which is superb if you're hoping to spend time swimming or partaking in boat trips.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find these months particularly appealing, as the pleasant weather allows for serene beach walks and comfortable evenings dining outdoors. The absence of heavy rains means fewer disruptions to your plans and a more enjoyable trip all round.

For travellers interested in cultural experiences, visiting within this period often coincides with local festivals and celebrations, offering a unique insight into the local traditions and community life.
