"Ralph’s place is very well cared for, very clean and has great views. The house has everything you need. Check in was very easy. Be prepared for the drive up, it is a beautiful place but the roads and very windy and it takes around 30-35mins to get to the bottom. We did have an issue with wasps, dozens flying around the pool and in the pool. I’d recommend nearby restaurant Venta El Curro"

"The property is in a lovely area next to the road that was never busy.This was our 4th visit to Vinuela but first time in Los Romanas the villa had everything that we needed.Okay it is a little ‘tired’ in places and needs some TLC but saying that, it was very clean and super comfortable beds but the views outside by the pool are lovely and spent lots of time there.Would I recommend it ….. yes.Vincent is a great host and very easily contactable if needed."

"Lovely traditional house set in fantastic surroundings. Weather not so good but did not spoil the relaxing atmosphere of the area and house. Easy access to local towns and motorway to main places to visit. Antequerra particularly nice to visit.Other tourist resorts within 30 kms to get back to some excellent shopping in Torremolinos and Malaga. Car essential unless you are a mountain goat! It was spotlessly clean, the pool was amazing and perfect with the views, the house is well stocked and our host Juan Carlos and his family were wonderful. Incredible service - Maurice went above and beyond, meeting me at the town border to guide me through town to the parking spot, carrying my suitcase to and from my room, and providing me excellent advice on dining and sights. "Vréneli, Ruud, Estrella and Estela couldn’t have been better hosts. This is a fabulous space to relax in mountains of Andalusia, after an hour or so driving from Málaga airport. We hired a car from the airport and were glad to have chosen an automatic with a little more power than the average entry level rental car. The drive is fairly straightforward from Málaga Airport. By all accounts there are some amazing hikes, although the purpose of our trip was to switch off and relax as much as possible, and we had no intention of doing anything active. It’s tough to beat a delightful breakfast, freshly prepared and beautifully presented by Estela or Estrella, either looking towards La Maroma (the highest peak of the Sierra de Tejeda) or, from the other side of the table, down the valley to the Mediterranean Sea. Made better still with quality coffee, (and Cava’s always an option). Both Estrella and Estela were very patient with our extremely rudimentary Spanish conversations and have great local knowledge. Estrella very kindly made dinner reservations for us each night at different restaurants around Cómpeta, a short drive away. Our favourites were El Cortico Paco and for accommodating dietary requirements, the staff at El Pámpano were particularly helpful. We have already recommended Málaga Hills to friends and colleagues since returning home."
