Kuretake Inn Nankai Sakaiekimae

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (454)
"I chose this hotel over more expensive hotels because it was highly rated for cleanliness. It was acceptable. The room was overall pretty clean but the "unit bath" smelled of mildew. And the carpet under the beds has lots of dust balls. Look at your own risk! The Japanese breakfast was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised by the public bath. The water temperature was hot and
relaxing
. The changing area does get crowded, despite their cutting down lockers as a Covid measure. The staff were...

Seaside Hotel Maiko Villa Kobe

4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (767)
"I stayed here because of the unimpeded view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. It did not disappoint. Recently refurbished, the hotel is extremely luxurious for the price. Take the breakfast buffet option. There is an abundance to choose from and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my stay."

Merveille Arima

3.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (136)
"Perfect hotel. Location was next to the train station which is a must in this hilly town. Property nice and clean. Food was excellent. Kaiseki dinner with meat was tasty and filling. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the outdoor onsen was closed. Indoor onsen was large and had a variety of pools. Overall a memorable stay and I highly recommend this hotel."

Hotel Hanakoyado

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (275)
"It's our first time at an onsen ryokan, and overall it was a very pleasant stay! The receptionist that greeted us spoke English well and was very clear at explaining the facilities and answering any questions we had. She asked clarifying questions about our food preference so that adjustments can be made to the meals. My friend doesn't eat any raw food, we both don't eat spicy, and they made note of that. The Kaiseki ryori dinner was delicious. I mentioned I liked sashimi and I'm ok with raw...

Kamiobo

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (79)
"A bit grim I'm afraid, very worn, it really is time that it had an upgrade of some sort - everything about it was shabby and worn down. I'm sorry to say that but it wouldn't be fair on others if I didn't. Clean but that's about the best I can say. There is no '
spa
' and no 'massage' as advertised which I established before arrival, the public bath is pretty grim. My room door didn't lock, it did from the inside but not the outside - they must know, I wasn't bothered as I consider Japan very...
