The farmhouse is big; set in green grounds but isolated - too far to walk into Aiguillon. A petrol station and a supermarket are a short drive. You drive to access any river, pool or beach.The shaded area under a canopy of vines with plastic table, chairs and BBQ is good for eating outside.That's the only outside facility, apart from the garden which you could walk in. "So much room to spread out, both inside and outside this manoir, lofty ceilings, huge fireplaces, history abounds at Quatre Vents. The pool is magnificent and clean, the bar and pizza oven are great fun and perfect for entertaining on the long hot evenings in this part of the world, fresh figs from the garden etc… Thank you for a perfect stay."

"Perfectly charming French farmhouse vibe. The owners are kind and thoughtful. When we mentioned a desire for morning coffee, they went out and bought a new coffeemaker for our use. Comfortable beds in the home, which is well equipped with linens and other items to make your stay a pleasant one. Convenient to a grocery store which has everything one might need. We enjoyed our stay!"

"Séjour agréable, la résidence de plein air est agréable et bien entretenue. En revanche, on a eu beaucoup de difficultés à les joindre car il s'est avéré que leur box était HS, pas possibilités de faire les CB, (caution et paiement), et on n'a pas pu du tout joindre l'établissement pour préparer notre arrivée, et cela nous a valu des sueurs froides, car on ne savait pas comment récupérer les clefs -, sachant que c'était un dimanche . On a dû changer notre agenda, pour arriver pendant les heures...

"We stayed here for 1 week in August 2017 with a further 2 families. Our children were aged from 12 to 16. Everything was absolutely perfect. There is so much space and so many different things to do that the children were never bored. The house and the pool are stunning - the pictures don't do it justice. Nicolas & Sandrine were lovely hosts. We will almost certainly return to enjoy this beautiful home again."

"A lovely stay in a beautiful house. It was wonderful to sit by the pool and look at the incredible view, eat cheese and wine under the tree and explore the local area. The children loved sleeping in one room together and the adults were far enough away not to hear them! Thank you for having us."

"We totally enjoyed almost everything about this property. The location, the ease to find and all the amenities. The staff super nice, the pool and steam a great treat after a long day. The restaurant for breakfast is very good, lots of selection. The dinner on the other hand was lack luster with options that that were limited. Nothing for a non meat eater and the service was confusing. overall I highly recommend and its great value. "

"This was the most perfect place to think and unwind over a week, while being able to head out and see nearby sites. The pool, pizza oven, and barbeque allowed us to relax and chat; the grounds allowed us enough space not to be crowded. Perfect!"

"Patricia is welcoming and helpful; she gave a gift, a map and local information. She responds quickly to communication. The farmhouse is big; set in green grounds but isolated - too far to walk into Aiguillon. A petrol station and a supermarket are a short drive. You drive to access any river, pool or beach.The shaded area under a canopy of vines with plastic table, chairs and BBQ is good for eating outside.That's the only outside facility, apart from the garden which you could walk in. The lounge and the dining room are big with an eclectic mix of furniture. The two large bedrooms have comfortable, clean beds, wooden floors and rugs. One bedroom lacks drawers; it has a wardrobe and a knitting machine which you could put things on. The other has a cupboard for wardrobe; lots of coat hangers, but musty - we left the doors open. The large dining kitchen has a range of freestanding white goods and appliances which work fine. The host uses part of the freezer - still plenty of room. The only small worktop is a cracked, tiled one which is hard to keep clean. Plenty of dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. Kitchen cutlery worn /needs cleaned. Wooden implements, chopping board, kitchen knives need replaced. Plenty of cleaning materials, toilet rolls, etc. Host stores own old stuff in cupboards. Drawers have lots of odds and ends in. Fire safety concerns; huge boiler - no CM detector, big house - much wood / polystyrene tiles - only one smoke detector on ground floor."
