"This is a beautiful home in a beautiful village but it is NOT an alternative for 42 people (or even half as many). There is one small fridge and one small freezer plus a larger fridge freezer. There was only one small dishwasher which was HOPELESS for our group of 34. In addition the sink leaked constantly (when it wasn’t blocked). "family stay over a long weekend. This cottage is spacious for 14 people, its 4 bathrooms are ideal for as many people, very good bedding. Negative point: lack of pots, fryer not present. The key box was very difficult to find at night (no indication beforehand) difficult to reach the manager. Fortunately a neighbor kindly helped us. The Halloween theme was respected 😂 presence of spiders 🕷️ and their webs 🕸️ in the living rooms."

"Absolutely wonderful ! We received such a warm welcome from Elena, Florent & little Leon and very soon felt like we were 'entre amis'. "The host largely ignored our texts and requests. He never came to fix the things that he said would be sorted. The house was generally in a poor state of neglect, fridge door didn't close, kitchen kick board falling off, cooker inadequate for large group. The dishwasher stopped closing at one point and my brother fixed it after borrowing tools from a neighbour. The host just said it was working before. Pool was toxic and not maintained. My great nephew was sick after swallowing the water. We stopped using it when the water started getting green and cloudy. No curtains in main bedroom or bathroom . One bathroom really dingy and pokey, painted dark red with a dim light bulb, no window and supposed to serve 4 bedrooms with 4 double beds and 3 single bed spaces. The other 2 bathrooms supposed to serve 9 double beds and 2 single beds. One bedroom is a walkthrough to get to the bathroom. Another bedroom is a walk through to get to another bedroom. 2 double bedrooms are adjoining whether you want them to or not with a hole in the wall not a door you can close. If the house had some essential repairs carried out and more care, it could be advertised as a teenage youth hostel, but not a family home. It is not really safe for young children with trip hazards etc. It is in a nice location with lots to do in the area and close to Caen. "

"Overall nice house in the French country side.Pros:-Easy to find-Wifi was simple to connect and speeds were fast (fiber connection)-Beds suited our needs, some new mattresses, some older but in good shape.-Sufficient dishes and utensils for 12 people staying there.Cons:-There was no communication from the host prior to arrival which make check-in difficult.-Dishes in the cupboards were dirty as we’re utensils.-No cleaning supplies were proivded and no clear instructions on what needed cleaning.We did learn rentals in France don’t normally come with basics like hand soap, bed sheets or towels. Unless it's explicitly listed in the property description assume it's not included.Hopefully that helps someone reading this for any future trips"
