April stay
The cottage is lovely and having a parking space really helped. We were able to walk into the town centre easily. We do think that the property details should stress how steep the stairs are because for some visitors they would be impossible to use.

Perfect: location, house, garden and host
Brilliant communication throughout. Very clean and beautiful property. Excellent location: just awat from main hustle bustle but just 5 min walk to town. 11min walk to supermarket inc a Lidl. We love Saint Valery and the surrounding area so this property was perfect fo our family of four (two adults, children aged 12 and 14). Brilliant entertainment on TV - Netflix etc. A bicycle in the shed. Big garden (with Narrow guage train running across the back - Great for train fans). Off street parking on drive next to house - very secure with gate. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Excellent (except staircase)
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is well kitted out and the location is close to the centre. The garden is secluded and quiet. The bedrooms and toilet are upstairs, so the steep staircase could be a problem for some. We would happily return.

Great house and location
We returned to this house after a 3 year absence (COVID), to find it was even better then before, as the owners had refurbished the kitchen (having previously refurbished the bathroom). This is a great place to stay - lovely garden , off road parking, great views, easy stroll into the town with its many bars and restaurants. WIFI was good and reliable, TV and DVD player available for any rainy days Overall St Valery is a great place to visit/stay, and this house is perfect for 4 people. One suggestion would be to provide a mirror and somewhere to hang clothes in the upper bedroom, but will definitely return.

Relaxing visit to St Valery-sur-Somme
This was an excellent stay for us. The house was beautiful, a mixture of old charm with modern facilities. It was very clean and well looked after. The garden was a delightful place to relax and with only a 10 minute walk to the town (walking past the boats in the harbour and the steam train station) the location was perfect.

Lovely experience.
Cottage interior and garden were both great, owner easy and pleasant to communicate with but only downside found we were hidden extras which were not stated on original advert, but still enjoyed the Cottage.

Beautiful house, lovely stay
It’s our second time to this house. It was excellent last time and even better this time. Improvements include a brand new kitchen with new quality appliances inc a dishwasher and new oven and hob. Central heating has also been installed since we last visited. You’ll find it hard to better thus property and location. Proprietor and ‘meet and greet’ a complete pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back.. Highly recommended.

Perfect retreat from it all (including the plague)
Delightful little house with its own parking (very important in this particular town) and fortunate location (between the river/marina and the steam railway line at the end of the large garden). Spotlessly clean with a fabulous bathroom and comfortable sitting room. Only drawback (and only for those who intend to cook a lot) was the kitchen. No light over the working area, old gas oven that we couldn't get hot enough to bake potatoes and permanently on extractor fan. These were minor irritations. All in all a wonderful holiday - highly recommended.

Family Holiday
A small but perfectly formed cottage - beautifully done with a lovely feel; pretty garden and only a short, pleasant walk to the shops, cafes and restaurants. Lots of very fresh fish and a lovely bustling town with plenty to see and do nearby. We had a boat trip, went to the Market and played crazy golf all within a pleasant stroll along the river. It was peaceful at night and very comfortable; we all slept well. Eating and shopping seemed expensive with an evening meal for 4 easily costing 100.euros. A very happy holiday and the cottage was just right for us...thank you!

Great little house
Good position overlooking marina, with a nice little garden backing onto the steam railway track. The off-street parking is also a real bonus in St Valery. Short stroll into the town with its many restaurant, bars and shops. WI-FI was reliable, and TV and DVD came in handy on the rainy days.
