Lovely house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. 2 lovely bakeries within walking distance and an old railway track within metres of the house which was perfect for cycling, running and walking. Plenty of family activities and pretty French towns with chateau and markets etc to explore within an hours drive. Pool is unheated but the average temperature was still warm enough to allow us to swim most days. Local restaurants need to be booked as they get full quickly and many shut in August for their holidays but the kitchen is well stocked and there is a large bbq too. Hosts replied promptly to queries when booking and were there when we arrived to welcome us and settle us in.
It’s a great place where to stay with friends and family with children. The pool is not super big but the park around it is really amazing and gives an extra edge to the place. The house is around the corner of a great boulangerie one (on one of the two squares in Saint-Savin). Recommended for an easy vacation.
We loved this house. The pool was lovely and everything was well looked after. The house was spacious and very clean. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The village was also lovely and everyone we encountered was very friendly. I would highly recommend this house.
The house is a gem. Saint Savin is beyond charming. Dominique and Alicia were attentive and respectful.
Our memories of this trip will be full with morning croissants from the patisserie across the street and listening to the hourly bells from the Abbey.
We arrived to a friendly welcome & were shown round the villa, which was as lovely as the photos if not more spacious. The kitchen was well equipped.
The grounds were extensive with the lovely pool just next to the house with a safety barrier for peace of mind. We had a wonderful holiday there.
