Besonders schön waren die zahlreichen Bademöglichkeiten in der näheren Umgebung (zu Fuß an der Sure, in Gravière und Chambonas an der Chassezac). Für Liebhaber der französischen Küche sind der kleine Bio-Markt in Chambonas (donnerstags 17.30h) und die zahlreichen Geschäfte in Les Vans eine Fundgrube. The house is spacious and comfortable, located very calmly, equipped with all that is needed (kitchen barbecue etc.) with a nice pool and garden. "Medieval monastery converted to a beautiful hotel with loads of character and charm. Lovely grounds surrounding the hotel were ideal for afternoon picnics or reading under the shade of the massive pine trees. Great restaurant in-house with locally sourced menu. Every detail was perfect and the staff were brilliant. The surrounding Gorges du Tarn and Gorge de la Jonte were absolutely astounding. Great base for exploring the Cevennes. "

The owner, Fabien, was very helpful, before and during the holiday, offering suggestions of places to visit and telling us about the history of the region.Great hospitality was shown to us. We appreciated our visits to both local and regional venues such as Nimes,Uzes, and the Cevennes National Park, and the pool was a great asset to us on very hot afternoons.
