"There was a calm, genteel feel to the hotel and grounds, a sense of grandeur past. The staff were helpful and polite. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast in the gardens.
It would have been good to have some help taking heavy bags up the stone stairs as there did not seem to be a lift/elevator."

We were met by our host Eric who was very welcoming and explained this wasn’t an issue for him due to the previous guests leaving early that morning. "We really enjoyed our stay. The location is superb, right in front of the Roman amphitheatre, just a short walk from the station. The room was very well equipped and comfortable, everything worked fine, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We noticed no noise from inside the hotel. There was some from the adjacent building site, but only during working hours and this was not a problem.
If visiting Nimes again we would certainly be happy to stay here.

"This was awesome. The apartment was very large, with 2 floor to ceiling (15 feet) windows in the living room and another in the bedroom. Very quiet both weekend and week night evenings. Never heard anything from other guests. Staff were excellent. Can walk in a few minutes to the Arena and a bit farther to the Maison Carrée). Lots of restaurant options. Grocery store 10 min away on foot. City is elegant, tranquil. Cost very reasonable. Look forward to coming again!"

"Great place for a family to enjoy the quietness of the Cevenes National park. You can either stay at the hotel and do all the activities they have. you can't get bored, or you can use it as a base to drive around the park. The people at the property are very very nice and helpful. They offered us several places to visit that were wonderful."
