"Hotel is basically a subdivision with its own convenience store and multiple restaurants. Hotel is in prime location with nearby restaurants, shopping, entertainment and excursions that’s within walking distance. Room layout is more apartment than hotel. Cons: Concierge/activity staff were not helpful. They give you an envelope of useful excursions, hotel activities and information, but does not assist in booking. You have to do it yourself or find other alternatives as some activity brochure was out of date."

"Our stay at Royal Islander Resorts La Plage in Sint Martin was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way and made for an unforgettable family vacation. What truly sets this resort apart is the exceptional staff. A special thank you to Nayima, Kalisha, and Anthoine for their outstanding hospitality, warm personalities, and incredible attention to detail. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and enjoyable, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued throughout our visit. The location is unbeatable — just steps away from beautiful Maho Beach, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the beach, plane spotting, restaurants, and everything the area has to offer. We also thoroughly enjoyed dining at Tortuga Beach Cafe onsite. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service provided by Juju was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and always making sure we had a wonderful dining experience. Every aspect of our stay felt special, and it’s clear the team takes great pride in delivering excellent hospitality. We cannot recommend Royal Islander Resorts La Plage enough and will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing stay!"
Hilton Vacation Club Flamingo Beach St. Maarten

"Stayed 8 nights and was happy overall. Rooms are the highlight — spacious, comfortable bed, full kitchen (stove, oven, full-size fridge/freezer), though cooking utensils are limited. Two TVs (unused). Views range from parking lot to ocean — request your preference. Note the resort fee on top of the room rate. Housekeeping is scheduled, not daily: checked in Friday, cleaned Monday, extra days on request. I preferred the lighter touch. Check-in and checkout were easy, staff very friendly. Heads-up: Citibank flagged my charge despite an active travel notice, so bring a backup card. Plenty of parking. Elevators are slow but I was on the third floor, so no issue. Wi-Fi is iffy — the access point was solid, but their upstream connection was spotty, so don’t count on it for work or calls. Nice pool and beaches, a small restaurant attached, and an excellent walkable location: restaurants, nightlife, shops, and water sports nearby, plus close to the airport. I’m not a resort person — I use a place to sleep, shower, and change before heading out, and on that basis it delivered exactly what I needed. If you want to camp on-site all week, your mileage may vary, but the bones are solid."

"We had a wonderful, stress free and relaxing vacation. From the time we landed, rented a car from EXER and checked into The Villas of Simpson Bay!! Everyone was respectful and kind. Would definitely come back!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and the view was superb. Everyone that we spoke with during our stay were very courteous and helpful. The happy hour menu at the pool bar was great as was all of the included amenities. The resort was conveniently located close to the airport and there were many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit and recommend it others looking to visit Sint Maarten."

"The staff were very helpful and attentive. We booked a beach view but had more of the pool and above the bar restaurant, which got a bit noisy at times, but pleasant some nights as we listened to performers from our balcony. Transportation was easy to get but pricey. Recommend keeping cash. St. Maarten has become one of my favorite islands and will definitely visit again as there's so much to do we didnt get a chance to do them all during our 5 days stay."
