"If you are looking for an experience, the Priory does not disappoint. The only room on the property for guests has ties to the Romans from the year 1070. The church itself is decommissioned, but continues to host concerts. Being from the United States, opportunities to be surrounded by such history do not exist. "The hotel is absolutely charming, uniquely situated inside a gorgeous, historic château, and lovingly maintained and attended to in every detail. Our welcome was warm, kind, and made us feel completely at ease. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and the breakfast just lovely, in a separate little cafe on the property that was near the castle grounds where you could also sit in a beautiful garden, swim in the pool, and/or play ping pong. "A special treat to stay in a chateau, so a bonus to also be able to have dinner there too. We stayed in the chateau itself rather than the renovated outbuildings, which was fun. Lovely buffet breakfast too. Very reasonable too, IMHO."
