"Large typically French property that can easily accommodate 8-10 people. Villa in beautiful surroundings with different areas in which to chill. Best booked if you don’t want to travel far, though driving was very easy and enjoyable on mainly quiet roads. Within easy reach of the larger villages. Down-sides: no facilities in the village so prepare by shopping before arriving, and the pool is not within the grounds but a 10-15 minutes walk away (I think the write-up is misleading). Overall, we had a great stay with the hosts being very helpful, within the limits of our little-speaking-French group, but we managed OK. "

"Lovely house, pool and location - directly on the bank of the Dordogne river. Really peaceful and quiet village, coming from the Home counties the lack of aeroplane noise and sirens was so refreshing. The small town of Lalinde has all you need and a lovely restaurant in the town square. We spent a day in Bergerac, visited Castelnaud, Sarlat, Tremolat, Limeuil, Le Buisson, Beynac & Lascaux - Recommend all of them. A canoe trip along the river was a real highlight for us, there is so much to do. Don't overlook a wine tasting tour, organise your own, all of the vineyards are super welcoming. The whole area is so clean, friendly and welcoming, try speaking a little French, it goes a long, long way.In short, we had a fantastic two weeks at a lovely, large property. Thanks you."
