" Monique is a superb host and very helpful. The property has everything you could need in a small apartment. Everything was clean. The addition of an outside sitting area, free WiFi and parking made our stay special. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day - also included. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped - enough cooking and baking equipment do make almost anything. Exceptional value for money and very comfortable space. We will no doubt be back in future. "

"Wow, what else can I say. Looked great online but the promo did not do it justice. We gave it a try because it looked comfy and was close to the Gouffre de Padirac, but we would go out of our way to stay there again even without the visiting the Gouffre again (which we would probably do anyway) ! We had not planned on the breakfast but SO GLAD we did, an amazing basket of fresh baked breakfast goods, juice, coffee and artisinal jam."

"Parking was full so had to leave on the road with lots of wedding bits inside. Hotel ok but tired. Room basic. No water or tea facility. Restaurant overpriced and under whelming. I had a local dish. Local Sausage and mash. Basic sausage and mash tasted like smash. Dried potatoes. Felt a bit money grabbing. "

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Saint-Julien-Le-Pelerin?
The best area to stay in Saint-Julien-Le-Pelerin is within the village centre itself, particularly around the church and main square.

This central area is the heart of the village, offering easy access to its limited but delightful amenities. You'll find the local boulangerie, a small grocery shop, and a couple of traditional eateries clustered together, making daily errands and dining convenient. The village is small enough that everything is within a short, pleasant walk.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find the village centre ideal. It offers a peaceful setting for walks through the surrounding countryside and evenings spent enjoying local produce and the quiet pace of rural life. The historic church and its adjacent square provide a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing getaway.

Families with children who appreciate a rural holiday will also enjoy staying in the village centre. The lack of heavy traffic means children can explore the immediate vicinity with a degree of independence, and the open spaces nearby are great for outdoor activities.
When is the best time to go to Saint-Julien-Le-Pelerin?

The natural surroundings, including the nearby forests and river valleys, are particularly appealing at these times, with fresh greenery in spring and rich colours in autumn.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate these shoulder seasons. The tranquil setting of Saint-Julien-Le-Pelerin is ideal for enjoying quiet walks, discovering local artisan shops without feeling rushed, and savouring regional cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
