Gorgeous Country Estate

The entire family was in awe of this huge, beautiful property, located right on the Dordogne river. Historic manor maintained its old-world charm, but was updated with modern appliances & comforts. Spacious with a great gathering-spot kitchen & outdoor bbq & table that we used for making dinner each night. Beautiful antiques & spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Huge dining table, comfortable living room, plus a library. Convenient & spacious laundry room. Two downstairs half-bathrooms. Lovely large infinity pool with plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, rafts, & outdoor shower. Well-maintained tennis court that impressed even the serious players in our group. Nice bikes, ping pong table (more paddles & balls needed), & bocce set provided all you could want. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the property, but it’s central location was perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside. We took easy day trips to Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac, Beynac, Castelnaud, Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Lascaux, & St. Leon-sur-Vezere. The Thursday morning market in nearby St. Julien de Lampon is great, & the village itself charming. The property was amply stocked with linens, cleaning supplies, coffee & a local bottle of wine. Manager was communicative, provided recommendations & quick responses. My only hope is to return! And spend more time at the house & in the immediate area. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful time at the house which is well situated to visit the region surrounding Sarlat. The pool was perfect for the hot weather. The house manager Hagar was very responsive for any minor issues that arose. We look forward to returning!

Merci
