Independent in Saint David's Island

"Our room was clean and comfortable. Food was terrific, especially the pancake breakfast! The main pool barside, was excellent! I loved the chairs in the pool ledge. There are two servers named Anthony and they were both awesome. Super friendly and took care of us. The private beach is fantastic although there are quite a few stairs to and from. The only bummer was the salt water pool down on the beach. It was dirty and not very inviting, but there 3 other pools on the property so it wasn't a big deal to us. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. There is still ongoing construction on the property for condos and honestly, it really didn't bother us at all. Overall, we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next visit. "

"Positive: clean and friendly staff. Negative: The hotel was extremely big! Too big that lost the cozy feeling…the music at the restaurants were extremely loud and annoying, crowded even in low season. Reservation is a must!"

"Excellent views of the coast & beach from the room. Breakfast was excellent so many choices. There is a bus stop across the street, so it is easy to get around the island. There are a lots of steps at the hotel and does not seem to be wheelchair friendly. Staff and owner are really very friendly"

"Bermuda wow great place to visit,Our stay at the Coca Reef hotel was very enjoyable comfortable, in dining prices at the hotel reasonable. We attended Mass on Sunday at St Michael’s Catholic Church with the locals and sermons delivered by a great Priest Father Joseph, has great faith the next Padre Pio if you get a chance go attend Sunday Mass you are welcomed by all."

"Beautiful setting and room. Views were lovely. Staff was so nice and helpful. The waitstaff in the restaurants were so personable and made an effort to remember our names. Beach was lovely. Adult pool was peaceful and beautiful. Food was very expensive all around, but they demonstrated value in warmth and Rosewood offered several dining options throughout the resort. "

"It was a wonderful place to stay. Pool and beach were loads of fun. The room was clean, convenient and well attended each day. The main property was nice, well staffed and our breakfast buffet was top shelf. I will certainly go to Grotto Bay again in the future"
