"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...

"Logement jonché au dessus des champs de vigne , avec une vue reposante, appartement propre et sécurisant quand on vient avec des enfants, c’est un plus. Localité proche de nombreuses visites à faire absolument ( abbaye royale de Fontevraud, le cadre noir, le château de saumur, Brézé… La gestionnaire sur place était très réactive et toujours bienveillante. "Personne pournois accueillir à notre arrivée, gîte souillé par un chat (excréments au sol, vomis sur les lits....). Le propriétaire n'a pas donné de draps propres quand il est venu nous voir le lendemain de notre arrivée. Les fenêtres sont cassées/fêlées. Le site est magnifique mais l'hôte n'est pas à la hauteur, il ne correspond plus aux photos malheureusement."

"dans un endroit magnifique nous avons fêté un anniversaire entouré par nos proches, ce moment de partage dans ce décor était parfait. Domaine très bien équipé, draps à disposition c top, jardin très bien entretenu et fleuri. Alors pour les chiens peureux c pas top, il y a pas trop loin des effaroucheurs pour oiseaux. Sinon séjour parfait !!!"

"Owners/hosts made us very welcome and on hand to help when required. Cottage was ideal for what we were looking for - self contained, quiet, private, secure parking and great base for cycling both sides of the Loire and very quiet back roads. Very large garden space front and back was a bonus. All made it an excellent weeks stay. "

"Well equipped beautiful cottage in the Loire countryside. Very Clean. Owners are very welcoming and friendly and have a vineyard 1/2 an hour away - worth the trip and the tasting. The house is close to Saumur which is lovely and has lots to see and do, including nice restaurants and is well located for visiting some famous historical sites like Chinon and Fontavraud Abbey. a very relaxing break."

"The cottage itself is well equipped with quality furnishings and equipment. Put together thoughtfully and stylishly by the charming owners. Unfortunately there is no green outdoor space as it's built on the gravel driveway entrance to the owners house, close to the local urban road and a main road. We went into the owners garden once to use their pool and were warmly welcomed. Overall this is a fabulous option for overnight stays or if you plan to be out driving every day. Perhaps less so if...
