It’s located in the old city center with wonderful restaurants, bistros, shops, patisseries all around…and the famous geese sculpture is just outside! Free parking only a few minutes walk. Sarlat is a perfect central location for day trips to nearby Dordogne villages and many prehistoric sites. The local contact was most helpful with check in and other information. It did not disappoint; excellent and helpful staff, brilliant location with an easy walk to the old city, a private secure car park, quiet comfortable room, and a good breakfast. And an excellent value! Our stay in Bergerac was very pleasant thanks to the Hotel de Bordeaux. "

"This is a very central hotel, and at first glance is very much in the traditional mould. However everything is modern, comfortable and works. There's even a pool and the breakfast was very good. "Excellent small hotel right in the middle of the charming town of Sarlat. Literally two dozen restaurants, many of them excellent, within a 10-minute walk. Friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend. Two things to note, without detracting from the above: street parking is metered during the day, and the optional parking garage spot (5-minute walk) must be reserved in advance and costs extra; and there is no laundry service (there's a laundromat not very far)."

"Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the IBIS Sarlat. The staff went out of their way to make you feel really welcome and were incredibly helpful making suggestions on places to visit to make your stay memorable. When there was a problem with the TV, in the room, the staff did their utmost to repair it. When they realised they would have to call someone in, to solve the problem, they immediately arranged a move to a much larger room and helped transfer clothing/other possessions. They were like breath of fresh air and are a credit to the hotel chain. The room was also exceptionally clean which was a real treat to see. If only other hotels were like this. The other great thing is the hotel is located directly opposite from one of the better restaurants, in the town, and is only a 10 min stroll to the medieval town centre which is beautiful to walk around. "
