"I can't say enough about the staff in particular. It's a beautiful hotel that was a former palace with good security, but truly he people were fantastic. A special call out to security and Mohamed Azny in the concierge department. My friends and I were waiting for a private car to take us on our tour when we accidentally got in the wrong car. We immediately realized it and jumped in the correct car. I accidentally left my purse including my passport and wallet in the back seat of the incorrect car. Mohamed reviewed security tap and sent me the car plate # and kept in constant communication with me as I only realized I had left my purse once we arrived in Alexandria. He assured me I would get my purse back and helped coordinate with the staff. Fortunately, the other driver returned after he took his group on a tour to return the purse. I am very well traveled and have never been in this situation, but I can assure you this is some of the best security and service you will find. The breakfast was also lovely, as well as the 18th floor, dinner at the Steakhouse and also dinner on the patio. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel was wonderful and the staff extremely helpful. The concierge staff, especially Hussein, went out of their way to assist. The buffets were very well laid out with good variety. We had breakfast included with our stay and also ended up having dinner there as well. In all a great experience."

"The WiFi was not adequate. I had to use my mobile phone as a hot spot. The TV was old with no HDMI ports. Had to climb over a wall to get into the shower. No alcohol was served anywhere in the hotel. I booked a king bed and got two smaller beds."

"Excellent 5 stars hotel from every aspect, Top property well maintained, but above all the best staff in all areas of the hotel from the front desk to restaurants to coffee shop to the pool! It is like my time share property in Cairo, excellent massage by the pool by professional and polite Kamar , excellent hookah and drinks at the bar by the pool and panoramic view. IN SUMMARY MY FAVORITE HOTEL IN CAIRO FOR LAST 10 YEARS !"

"One thing I would strongly suggest to the hotel management is addressing the issue with the horse drawn buggies and the taxi drivers waiting outside the property. Unfortunately, having a gate is not enough when, the moment you step outside, they immediately approach you, pressure you, and aggressively try to force you to use their services instead of apps like inDrive. The hotel should work with the tourist police to remove these individuals from the street leading to the hotel entrance. Tourists should be able to walk freely or order an inDrive without being harassed. At one point, I even witnessed two taxi drivers verbally confronting an inDrive driver for picking up a couple, as if they owned the entire area. We stayed at the Steigenberger Resort Achti and walked several times to dine at the Steigenberger Nile Palace, which is only about 0.8 miles away. However, because of the intense heat, we often had to use inDrive, which cost around 50 Egyptian pounds each way. At one point, the taxi drivers pressured us so much that we almost got into one of their taxis. When I asked for the price, the driver quoted 500 Egyptian pounds for the same ride. This is exactly why traditional taxi drivers are losing business and why services like inDrive are becoming more popular. Unless they start being honest and charging fair prices, they will continue to lose customers."
