"A stunning view of the Douro valley. We had an excellent dinner. One needs to make reservations beforehand to eat there. There is nowhere else in the area to dine. We were not given a dinner option however, the roast beef dinner was excellent as well as the dessert. The car ride up is a bit sketchy because it’s a VERY narrow to lane road winding up a Mt !! However the view makes the trip most worthwhile. Bedroom was nicely decorated and comfy. "

"The hotel is on a square in a lovely part of town, with free parking available on the square and a street back too. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a small pool and space to lounge in the sun. The rooms were very clean and the electric blinds kept out the sun brilliantly. The staff didn't speak much english but we muddled through."

"This is an old house, with some interesting history & furnishings. It is not a hotel, it’s a B&B, with 3-4 bedrooms and the owners live upstairs. The ( ensuite) bathrooms are very dated. "Casas de Campo was like staying at a B&B, the owners were so helpful and welcoming that we had some estate made Port wine and ate the grapes harvested by the grandma. The kids had so much fun in the bunk beds and in the pool. Thank you Jose & João"

"Spectacular B&B! The suite apartment was stunning, large and comfortable. Sparkling clean and also so beautifully decorated! The balcony has a beautiful view. The common areas are also amazing for hanging by the pool or grabbing a drink. The service was also incredible! Breakfast was delicious and very complete with lots of local charm. "
