  • Due to work I don't have an opportunity to get out and shoot for about 5 months out of the year. This is the first shot I've uploaded in awhile. Had a chance to get away and travel this past weekend and went off the beaten path to a place I've always wanted to go. Texas Highway 87 used to run along the coast from Sabine Pass down to Point Bolivar. Many of hurricane have washed this road out time after time and it was rebuilt over and over again until finally in 1990 the state of Texas said no more. In places it has been totally reclaimed by the gulf and mother nature but there are a few reaming spots where the old road still peaks through the sand and grass. It takes a hike but is pretty cool to see the old remains in this remote stretch of Texas. #road #oldroad #texas #deserted

Not far from the beach, affordable.

Very great and affordable place to stay if you want to go to the beach but can’t afford a beach house. Place was spotless when we came in and the house was super nice. The elevation and aesthetic of the house makes you feel like you are at a real beach house. I would stay again.

Great place to stay.

Trailered motorcycles to this location so we could unload and ride the Louisiana coast line. This property had room for unloading and we booked another night on return trip. Property manager was great. Even allowed us to park pickup and trailer on edge of property while we road the coast to Biloxi. I would stay again. The inside is very clean. Was perfect for our trip thanks a bunch for everything.

Birthday vacation

We decided to head to the beach for the weekend and to celebrate my birthday. This was the perfect place to come back to after a long day exploring. It was clean, well taken care of and quiet. I loved sitting on the front steps and drinking my coffee in the morning. I appreciated the host’s communication and all the small amenities that were included, like coffee grounds and filters, and a well stocked kitchen. Thank you again!

Few minor things between trash not being taken out and full from what I assume to be prior guests. And an empty beer bottle on the back patio. The house was cute. Full kitchen with items to cook. Bed was comfy and neighborhood was quiet. Communication was great and no checkin or out problems.
