The owners have preserved the historic aspects of the building while thoroughly modernizing the rooms and they are extremely clean. The restaurants are excellent, I ate at Le 9th several times. The location is very quiet and central. The housekeeping was excellent and no matter what time of day I left and took the sign off the door it was clean when I returned, which I did not expect (most US hotels have a set time for cleaning). "We had a lovely stay at Luke’s house for a family celebration. Luke was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth from start to finish. On arrival, Hélène, the housekeeper, gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the property, which was much appreciated.The house itself is spacious, comfortable, and set in a lovely rural location. It has plenty of great amenities – the playroom, ping pong, and go-kart were big hits with the kids – and lots of room for everyone to relax and spend time together.Overall, it was a great place for our family gathering."

"A very well-appointed property which catered very well for our extended family of 9, ages ranging from 1 to 75. There was ample space for us not to be under each others' feet and enough bathrooms for each family (and a teenage granddaughter!). The outdoor facilities were excellent including the summer kitchen/ barbecue area, the variety of games equipment and (especially) the fabulous swimming pool.There is ample shade around the property for those extremely hot southern French days.Access to the mountains is very easy and they can be seen clearly from the surrounding area.The hosts, Mary-Jo and John are excellent and helpful without being intrusive.As a very rural area car is, of course essential, and shops are a 1- - 15 minute drive away; the baker in St Marcet is, however, worth the morning drive for excellent bread and pastries!.We strongly recommend Chateau Floran"
