"We like this place as it is the closest to the most beautiful mountain view of Mount Kinabalu. The rooms had bed sufficient for up to 10 pax. Kitchen is well equipped and we can whip up meals conveniently. Staffs are friendly. We will come back again. "

"Very good water village. Not many guests when we stayed. We could eat our meals enjoying the ocean view all by ourselves. The owner cooked good seafood dinner for us and even made lunch for us when we had to check out early. The owner also took us fishing and visit a local village. View from the room is just wonderful! "The airport transport was nearly one hour late... There instruction was to send me the license plate with no further comments. Another guy at the airport explained it to me and looked for my taxi. (the driver didn't get out of the car and helped me at all) At the hotel the gave me a rm which I couldn't log the door, due to the fact I was the only guest, I felt safe. "We really enjoyed our recent stay. The highlights were: absolutely wonderful staff, some of the best food as well as variety for breakfast a d dinner in the club lounge, a great pool and plenty of shaded sun lounges, fantastic live music Wed. to Sat. And great location."

"The Shangti-La is just a step up from other hotels. Yes, it's big and busy but the staff go out of their way to really spoil you. I'm vegan and they bent over backwards to ensure I had a great breakfast, sent soy milk to my room tweaked dishes so I ate well. And the location - oh my. We stayed in a garden room and could walk straight out looking at the sea. Room had a shower and a bath, was well stocked. Water in the fridge every day. Their Spa was great too. I can't think of anything bad about the place. We just didn't want to leave. "
