One to return to.
A warm welcome, to a lovely hotel. A really enjoyable stay, and we were delighted that the hotel was warm because the weather wasn’t. The room was large and the bed was fantastically comfortable. All of the staff were extremely kind and professional. Breakfast was delicious. It’s a hotel that you would like to return to, and we will.

Great stay
Friendly helpful receptionist. Hotel exactly as expected - corporate, simple. Food excellent. Views over the golf course are lovely. Although we were overlooking the car park, we had a very quiet night. Very good value.

Very comfortable hotel in quiet countryside on a golf course. Pleasant staff very friendly and helpful. Happily stay here again.

Fully met our requirements
Fully met our requirements, to break our journey home from visiting family. In a quiet location, but close to the A1. We were made to feel very welcome. Very comfortable room, we were tired from our journey, slept soundly and awoke to a wonderful view of the golf course. Breakfast was very good and certainly set us up for our day and journey home. Would certainly stay here again in the future.

Lovely little gem
This was a wonderful find on Hotels.com, The hotel was lovely,the room was spacious and very clean.The staff were really helpful and engaging. We ate in the bar and the food was delicious, breakfast was superb. We are not golfers but have told golfing friends about this little gem. Will definitely go back again soon.

Very clean and good Covid precautions. The reception staff were tremendous.The main disappointment was that, due to Covid restrictions, the breakfast was a full English or nothing. We can’t face a huge meat breakfast so it was nothing. The waitress didn’t even offer anything else. Why can’t an individual box of cereals or a yogurt be given out?

No tea or coffee in the room
Nice room. But the heating didnt work so i ended up piling another 2 blankets on me and there were cups in the room but no tea and coffee.

Relaxing weekend
Had a lovely time. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food restrictions but the food was still very good. Bed comfortable, room clean and needs catered for.

The property was under maintenance which wasn't mentioned when booking. The room was good znd the tv modern but the cups weren't clean which wasnt great. When signing in i had to give a £100 deposit xhixh they said would be refunded after we checked out but then they said itll take a week to go back into my account which sucks because im a student. The food was good though.

Great Place to Stay for Golf or Travelling
Lovely location, a bit off the beaten track but worth the short drive away from the A1. Breakfast was great, Prices in the bar for drinks reasonable. Golf Course looked very well presented (I'm not a golfer)

Stayed for one night. Room was clean and basic. Food in the restaurant and the bar was satisfying and good value. My only negative was the coffee at breakfast, it was cold and tasted as though it had been left overnight. The breakfast itself was very nice.

Lovely location, lovely hotel
Lovely location - just a shame I was on business and couldn't partake in the golf! Room was very comfortable and quiet - great nights' sleep. Meal in the bar was delicious. Would definitely stay again...next time with my clubs!!

Lovely hotel
I stayed on business and found the hotel to be lovely. The staff were very friendly and the food was of a very good standard for the relatively low price. The rooms were comfortable with a lovely view of the golf course and the bed was surprisingly good. This is now my go to place for the area, which I visit regularly.

Bathroom needs a good clean
Stayed here before a business meeting at Rutland. The room I had was a bit run down and had two small single beds. The bathroom smelt a bit like a gents' toilet and could have done with a 'deep clean'. Will not stay here again.

Near Rutland lake great quiet hotel
I was taking part in half iron man at Rutland lakes. We wanted quiet hotel good food close to lake... all boxes ticked.. spoke to lovely receptionist before hand about our needs for 4.45am breakfast porridge and bits toasting all sorted...night porter was great not his usual request lol but breakfast done so important for us so Thank you so much. Dinner needing carbs again restaurant was fantastic our request was done with banter by the restaurant manager food was fantastic.. Room lovely & clean & comfortable.. really can not say a bad word about the staff & hotel we will definitely be back again.. A big thank you for making our stay & odd requests stress free and perfect .

The proximity to the golf course was very good. Meals were quite good with slow service at lunch but very good service in the evening. It was a memorable stay since I got a hole-in-one in golf - the staff arranged celebration drinks very well.
