The Piney Knob Lodge is the ideal spot to retreat from it all with all the amenities and comforts of home. This cabin is situated along the Piney Knob Creek with plenty of room to meander around the mountain. This comfortable lodge is perfect for larger groups, retreats, weddings and reunions. Just minutes from all the activities at one of the top ten most beautiful man made lakes in the world: LAKE LURE. CHIMNEY ROCK STATE PARK with it's natural outcropping of granite rock, gorgeous HICKORY NUT FALLS, miles of hiking trails and the rushing waters of the the BROAD RIVER are also minutes away.
Once you cross the stream and arrive at the lodge, you'll stroll up onto a large covered porch with ample outdoor seating to enjoy the peacefulness of the Western North Carolina mountains. Once inside, you'll notice the lodge is very nicely equipped to handle any of your
needs! An open kitchen/living/dining room offers a gas fireplace, seating for 8 in the fully equipped eat in kitchen, a game table in the living room and easy access to covered porch. Four nicely appointed bedrooms, on with a crib and another with a handicap accessible bath cater to all needs of a family.
Outside, relax in the new Hot Tub, fish in the catch and release stocked pond, hike along the Piney Knob Creek or sit on the expansive porch in the evening reflecting on the days events.

Piney Knob Lodge can be rented together with Piney Knob Cabin for larger groups such as family reunions and wedding parties.

Very clean Cabin with huge wrap around porch.

The owner is Great. It has a fishing pond onsite, great for a family vacation. Short drive to lake lure and chimney rock and very private and secluded.

We could not have asked for a more perfect place for our stay. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The cabin is amazing and the surrounding scenery is just beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves so much and will definitely be back! We would HIGHLY recommend this place.

Beautiful, quiet setting!

We had 4 couples in our group so the four bedrooms and four baths worked out wonderfully. The cabin had plenty of space for our large group to enjoy time together. Walks on the property during the daytime were enjoyable. The cozy gas fireplace and ample seating provided a nice place to hang out and watch movies in the evening.

Nice, quiet, and secluded spot. Perfect place to just relax and enjoy nature and the pond!! My grandchildren loved it! Everything was exactly as pictured and owner was so helpful and pleasant.

Great spot

The family had a wonderful time. The property was gorgeous and private. Our dogs were able to run. The cabin is clean and has everything you need. Bill is very responsive and a fabulous host.

Such an amazing place! My family had an amazing time and we look forward to coming back. Very beautiful natural land and the sounds of the creek water flowing is very soothing. Bill is very helpful and responsive for any questions or concerns.

Beautiful Cabin- lots of privacy

This cabin was nicely stocked in the kitchen. Very clean. Loved exploring the grounds around us. The hot tub is fantastic. Absolutely loved this cabin and especially the large deck for rainy days. We will be back!

My favorite cabin!

Love this cabin and the seclusion it provides. There is so much to do with no disturbances. Location is perfect and only a 1.5 hour drive. There is no crowding and everyone can do their own thing.

Lovely Thanksgiving

The property was beautiful, peaceful, and cozy. The host was helpful and communicative and checked the chemical levels half way through our stay since we stayed for 8 nights. We really enjoyed our time relaxing in the crisp cool air for our family Thanksgiving.

Highly Recommend

We really enjoyed this house for our annual friends weekend. The house is exactly as described and was in a beautiful setting. Having each bedroom have it's own bathroom and mini split to control temperature is a huge plus and not found at very many rentals. Would absolutely rent this house again.

Family Reunion Trip

We had six adults in our party. There were 4 bedrooms with a bath for each room, so no one had to share a bath. The lodge is beautiful and very comfy. Hot tub was clean and welcoming. Bill, the owner even stopped by to make sure everything was great. 100% recommend this lodge-you won’t be disappointed!

Peaceful and Serene

The lodge at Piney Knob provided a wonderful setting for our annual (multi-family) Labor Day trip! The accommodations were spacious and well-equipped for our group of eight. My dad, my son, and I even got to meet Mr. Bill, the owner, down at the pond on Saturday. We enjoyed talking with him and hearing about some of the history of his place. We recommend you considering Piney Knob Lodge for a peaceful and beautiful getaway!

Great hidden gem!

We went to Piney Knob Cabin for our annual cousin’s couples trip weekend. It was perfect. We were away from every distraction and we relaxed! Bill was an excellent host. He sent listings of restaurants and grocery stores in the area. He came down to greet us as we arrived and it was nice. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

Beautiful Piney Knob

Beautiful property. Lots of room. All the comforts of home and well stocked with everything you could need. Conveniently located near town and an easy drive to Chimneyrock and Lake Lure, uet still feels private and secluded. Oir dog loved running around the property and outlr daughter was thrilled to catch a huge catfish fishing in the pond. Mr. Elliott even stopped by to say hello. Cant wait to go back.

Beautiful setting, spacious house, great hot tub!

This house is in a very lovely natural setting, completely surrounded by green with a gorgeous vista overlooking a creek, meadow and forest beyond from the front porch, and a pretty trout pond down the hill. There is a separate cabin down the hill on the other side of the pond, but you can't even really see it from the lodge. Felt very private. Loved sitting on the porch under the ceiling fans. Great to have 4 king bedrooms, 3 of which had en suite bathrooms. Not a fancy place per se, with no-frills bedding and linens and a few cobwebs here and there, but we appreciated modern touches like good wifi, smart TV, Keurig, etc. It's so rare to find a home with multiple king beds w/en suite bathrooms, a new, clean hot tub and so much natural beauty at this price point. Thanks for a great stay!
