It is the up north get away you are looking for, closer to home! Enjoy the privacy of our nearly 2 acre wooded home. A flat walk down to the river opens up the opportunity of fishing, hiking the shore line or enjoying the day on the water. The large yard gives way to family and fun times playing yard games. Dinner and a drink on the beautiful patio. Cuddle for the night around our large fire pit or enjoy your evening in the cabin with a romantic jacuzzitub and finish by enjoying the stone fireplace in our home. Our home is nestled on a dead end road. Who will love this? Families looking for bonding time, Couples looking for romance and relaxation. Bridal parties! Families who want to host a larger family event, great extra space for meal times and game time. Ideal location: secluded and scenic BUT near many amenities. House itself is welcoming, cozy, and full of conveniences such as wicked fireplace, fancy oven, hot tub, etc. A definite hit with the family, kids are already asking for another trip there in the summer. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of our favorite features was the loft, which offered a peaceful view of the river and made for a great reading or beverage spot throughout the day.The kitchen was impressively stocked with everything we needed to prepare full meals, from cookware to utensils and a few common pantry basics. It made cooking easy and enjoyable, especially with the outdoor setup. We especially appreciated the combination gas/charcoal grill and the Blackstone griddle—ideal for grilling dinners and making breakfast outside.Overall, the home was thoughtfully equipped and made for a smooth, enjoyable experience.

Great Relaxing Stay by the River

We really enjoyed our stay! It was a great location for the wedding we were visiting for and had everything we wanted for a relaxing weekend right off the river in a beautiful home!

Great location. Right on the river with beautiful views. We had a wonderful time relaxing, making meals and enjoying the fireplace. The sauna was a great added bonus!

Winter Get Away

We loved the cabin. Kitchen was well equiped for all of our cooking needs. The location by the river was gorgeous. We were there during a weekend snow storm...absolutely stunning ! We did have a couple hickups the first evening, but the hosts responded quickly to resolve the issue. All in all....a perfect weekend ! Looking forward to visiting this cabin again !

Great, quiet space to get away

Our group of four friends from college met up here for our annual weekend together. The setup was great for us with the cozy living area and private outdoor space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were so appreciative of the bottle of wine the host left for us. We will certainly consider staying here again in future years!

Great place to relax

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin while visiting family in Royalton. The cabin is gorgeous and the grounds are lush and well kept. We had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time, even a Blackstone on the patio. The property is close enough to everything you need but still very private. We would definitely stay again and recommend the property to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors!

Wonderful Place to Get Away

Beautiful home and beautiful property. Being so close to the river was absolutely magical. Owners were incredibly thoughtful and responded immediately to any question we had. Highly, highly recommend.

This house is beautiful and sits in a wooded area on the river. It was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend! Owners were very responsive to us when we reached out during our stay!

Quaint property, exceptional service

Our stay at this property was exceptional. We had a tornado warning with strong winds and rains. A tree went down into a neighbors property. The owners were professional and diligent cleaning it up. They communicated the issue and rectified it within hours. All our needs were met from a rental aspect. Little courtesies we’re extended like shampoo and conditioner. Every and I mean every need we could have had was met(fully furnished rooms down to nightlights were provided for, silverware to board games). If you question whether an item you’d need from your home was there just keep looking it exists. The owners went out of their was to ensure that our weekend was focused on enjoying the property and not worrying if we would have what we needed.

Peaceful Perfection

The house and property are beautiful, and the hosts are very gracious! Every member of my party was very pleased with the accommodations. If we ever have the need to stay in the area again, this place will be our first choice. My only suggestion for improvement is to provide better lighting inside in the bedrooms and outside by the garage entry door.

Secluded Oasis in the Woods

We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely come back. Venue is a beautiful, secluded site, and provided just what we needed this trip-an environment of rest and restoration. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Would recommend adding either blinds or a curtain in the upstairs bathroom for more privacy, even though the window only faces woods. Thanks for all you do to make the guests feel welcome.

Amazing place to stay

This house was perfect for our family and parents to stay and get ready for our son's wedding. The house was very clean and stocked very nicely. The host went above and beyond our expectations to help make sure everything we needed she would help us out if she could. The fire pit was awesome! We loved the charcoal and propane grills and also the black stone! The patio was really nice. The lighting in the kitchen could have been better. The bed in the pull out couch upstairs was very poor. Overall, it was a great experience!

Family Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin on the river. We had a few hiccups at the start but the owner was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed the loft area for the kids and the beautiful stone fireplace. The sauna was a nice feature as well. We used the blackstone outside to grill on and enjoyed walks in the area. Just a note the bedrooms upstairs are heated with space heaters. They are plenty warm but good to know. As noted, there is an exposed floor which is concrete with pebble stones. If you have a crawling baby or toddler not steady on their feet it is not ideal and can hurt. Otherwise a great place to stay with friends or family!

Best, relaxing holiday stay!

We picked this property for its central location. Everyone had about a 2 hour drive. The kitchen is well stocked with crockpot, toaster, waffle maker, blender, mixer, air fryer. There is not a dishwasher, but I think the best conversations happen when washing and drying dishes. We loved the jetted tub and sauna. The central fireplace was nice. The loft living room was well used. There was two days where we never went outside. The view was beautiful and we were visited by many birds. We played games and did puzzles. birdshappe

Home away from home

This cabin was so beautiful and peaceful! If you are looking for a place to get away that is not a plane ride away, I would highly recommend. The house is fully stocked with everything you need but you will not spend much time indoors. The patio, firepit area, and short walk down the hill to the river was where we spent the majority of our time. The host was also amazing to work with! She was very responsive and accommodating. We are already talking about a return trip in the future. Thank you for the great memories!

All State Choir and Family Retreat

The log home was awesome, the setting spectacular, and our family retreat amazing. Everyone had a great time relaxing and spending time together. The home was as advertised and much more. The home was very clean, the beds comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, great wifi, and a very nice patio to enjoy the fantastic setting. Loved the rustic interior and furnishings, and our hosts Penny And Chris played everything out perfectly in their welcome letter. We will be back again. Beautiful house on the river

We rented this house for a large group of our family that came to town. We had a total of nine people (kids and adults) there at one time. The house is absolutely beautiful, furnished very well. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out both inside and out. We loved sitting outside on the patio and walking along the river. While the sun is able to shine through there's plenty of shade as well. Inside the house, the stone and the wood is all so unique and beautiful. It's a charming house. Everyone in the family appreciated having a place to stay that was so clean and comfortable. The owners are available to answer any questions and respond so quickly if you need anything at all. They even provided complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival! This is a beautiful property. You won't be disappointed.

Everything was perfect except the Floors

When we first found out about the rough flooring of the cabin we had already left our home. The email from the owners was sent with this description after we had already left our home to spend time with family for a couple of days before going to the cabin. The main floor is very coarse and I highly recommend slippers or house shoes, which was also recommended in the owner's email, but this information should be part of the cabin's description on VRBO, not in an email a couple days before someone checks in. The two bedrooms upstairs also have some gaps in the flooring. But besides the floors, everything else was absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed the fireplace, the giant TV upstairs, the modern appliances and all the cupboards were well stocked. Overall this place is great, as long as you pack some rubber soled slippers for everyone.
