"Relaxing and peaceful. The rustic yet modern architecture, despite being nearly 40 years old, is timeless and well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. Our stay was in late February and use of the wood burner fireplace is a unique offering. The own downside was that it did make the room smell of camp fire. We had to wash our clothes and duffle bags as soon as we got home to rid the smoke smell. We visited previously in the spring and don't remember the smell being so prominent, so perhaps this isn't an issue year round. The complimentary breakfast was incredibly good. The happy hour drinks and complimentary hors d'oeuvres were a special treat that felt very upscale and personal. The gardens are within an easy walking distance and are beautiful. This is a great place for a quite relaxing retreat. "
