The Space:

Okawa Bay Waterfront is a substantial home right on the shore of Lake Rotoiti, with sweeping lawns that run down to your own private jetty. It's a rare absolute-lakefront setting - swim off the jetty, cast a line for trout, or launch a kayak straight from the lawn.



Inside, the open-plan kitchen has a stone benchtop, a four-seater breakfast bar, a wall oven and a gas hob, and it flows through to a casual lounge with a wood-burner and TV. There's a separate formal dining room that seats eight, with lake views, and downstairs you'll find a games room with a full-size pool table and bar seating - a great spot for the group of an evening.



The four bedrooms sleep up to 12: a king master, a second king, and two queen rooms, plus two sofa beds in the lounge for extra guests. Two full bathrooms serve the home. Outside, wide lawns, a covered alfresco area with a table, multiple deck zones and an ornamental pond all look out over the water, and there's off-street parking for several vehicles.

Hells Gate, Rotorua's dramatic geothermal reserve and mud spa, is just up the road. The Okawa Bay Resort café and a public boat ramp are a short drive away, and the Manupirua hot pools - reachable only by boat - sit across the lake. It's a peaceful lakeside setting, yet central Rotorua and its restaurants, shops and attractions are under 20 minutes away.



Getting Around:

A car is essential for getting here and exploring. The property is around 19 minutes' drive from central Rotorua, 6 minutes to Hells Gate, and roughly 7 minutes from Rotorua Airport. Off-street parking on-site means no shuffling vehicles during your stay.

A few things worth knowing: this is an absolute-lakefront home, so the jetty, lawns and water are a real feature - the jetty is yours to swim, fish or tie up a boat you bring (no boat or watercraft is supplied).
