Location was excellent, up a lot of stairs and you were right at the entrance to the town. Breakfast was excellent and free parking was an added bonus. Rooms were large and clean, bathrooms small but clean. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Overall highly recommended!!
The castle-like hotel was beautiful. The castle across the road is worth walking around. The hotel was great but beware that it gets very muggy in the rooms during the summer with no air conditioning.
Very enchanted stay. Unique but cozy. Very clean and welcoming.

The night we stayed there, a wedding was booked. They put us in a wing that has no elevator on the other side of the party. So we had to walk the long way around the party and had to lug our 65lb suitcase up the stairs. Our room was also facing the wedding venue. They had music bumping until 3am. The room was hot so we opened the window and could feel the room actually vibrating to their music. A closed window was still too loud to fall asleep to. The staff were nice, the hotel beautiful, but why put a guest who is not affiliated with the wedding right next to the venue? Would not stay again.
This was a beautiful and classic place for my family to stay while visiting Rothenburg on see Tauber. Would definitely stay here again. Nice breakfast too!
The place was gorgeous. The rooms were big and bright. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was great. Shower was great. Parking was available but when the main lot is full, the secondary lot is a bit of a walk. There are lots of extra rooms in which you could gather with friends or just hang out. While there was an elevator, we used the stairs as they were very wide. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the lady who was there the two days we ate there, was so nice, even though there was a language barrier. The place had so much character. The walk to the main town was quite a challenge. There are 197 steps from the exit on the 7th floor. We did it several times during our two night stay.
There is a self serve bar that opens after the restaurant closes. You just complete a form with your room number and the types and amount of drinks you consumed. Prices were fair.
Would stay here again without hesitation.
One-of-a-kind building to convert into a hotel! Outstanding breakfast, especially if you can score one of the limited outdoor tables. Terrific staff, always willing to help. The only caution -- and you will know if this applies -- is that there is a long, steep set of stairs (through a beautiful forest) to get to eh city. I would not recommend this hotel (because of the stairs) to my 88 year old mother, but would recommend it to every other family member. Other than the 200+ stairs UP, to get from the hotel to the city, this hotel is excellent.
Amazing stay! Would do it again 100%! The stairs to get to the city were rough, but manageable. Breakfast and dinner buffets were phenomenal! Rooms were spacious and nice. Loved our experience here!
Beautiful grounds and an amazing property. Quick walk to town via some stairs. Maybe 10 minutes. Very good breakfast and helpful stafff at the hotel. Free parking was a plus as well.
We booked an economy room. It was quite clean except for the old rug by the bed. I would get rid of that and just have the hardwood floors. Small room but adequate for our stay. It was cool during our stay but nights could be warm in n the summer.
We arrived late due to missing a conncection on the train and they were polite enough to wait late for us. They were very friendly. Food was great. Beautiful location and hotel. Very nice walk to the center. We loved it here.
We very much enjoyed our stay. In fact, we were sad we had booked only one night! The staff was very friendly, the room was lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel itself was beautiful! We would love to stay here again.
