Rothenburg is a beautiful medieval city that has been modernized for today's standards. The Gerberhaus Hotel is within the walls of the city and provides all the charm you come to expect. A wonderful breakfast buffet helps start the day for shopping and sightseeing.

This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is perfect to start your walk around the walled city of Rothenburg. You will start with a wonderful breakfast and can have a great snack come lunchtime in the rear garden. The rooms are wonderful and very clean and its nice to end the day with a cold beer next to the garden.

I LOVE ROTHENBERG! THIS CHARMING INN IS EXCELLENT. THE LOCATION TO PARKING AND TOWN IS EXCELLENT. THE BREAKFAST IS DELICIOUS. WE STAYED HERE IN 1983 AND LAST WEEK. WE WILL STAY AGAIN. THE ONLY ISSUE...PILLOWS TOO FLUFFY.

Charming hotel in a beautiful city! The complimentary breakfast is delicious. The rooms are big and clean and the bed is super comfortable. There are bo elevators in the building so if you’re unable to do stairs, this is something to consider. The location is perfect! Would highly recommend!

Hotel Gerberhaus is a special place in Rothenburg ob der Tauber for our family. In the last 25 years we have stayed several times. We come back because we enjoy the authentic traditional nature and presentation of the hotel. It has been run by the same family who are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is beautifully displayed, with a generous assortment of delicious and typical German foods. I highly recommend this hotel in pretty Rothenburg.

Lovely accommodating owner and staff but this is really a well located café (even the sign says Café Gerberhaus!) with good basic rooms. Gardens off the back with a lot of potential but not maintained, as the focus seems to be to just manage everything else day to day, which they do! Can park right on the street, especially overnight, but better to park in the (easy to access) huge lot just outside the old wall, about 150 metres away, for more than that. Access is an adventure as you need to drive into what looks like a pedestrian entrance in the old wall but is really a one car in and out access to Spitalgasse! Loved exploring the old town from this locale; the Night Watchman tour is highly recommended (wonderfully educational and excellent way to appreciate this amazing heritage site!).

My room was very cold, even with the radiators on. My nephew’s room was warm, which made me jealous! And I misunderstood if it had a restaurant or not. I thought it did, but the actual food was dessert. Thank you for a nice stay, tho!

We had the top floor room and no elevator so had to drag bags up 3 floors or about 60 steps. There was no internet only if you stood at front desk, not in room, not in garden or in lounge. There are 4 small small parking spaces in a shed at the end of the alley, so first in last out! Parking outside the walls in a public parking lot 6 euro per day, must get ticket one day at a time. Hotel is close to down town, breakfast good, rooms small and no ventilation windows open. Hotel is okay, it is just not as advertised

Das Hotel liegt zentral und bietet fußläufig alle Möglichkeiten die Stadt zu erkunden. Wir wurden vor Ort freundlich empfangen und konnten, gegen Aufpreis, das Fahrzeug in der Garage parken. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind leider schon ziemlich in die Jahren gekommen. Der Frühstücksbereich ist individuell und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbuffet war (eigentlich) reichhaltig. Mit uns war jedoch eine Gruppe beim Frühstück, was nicht nur dazu führte, dass teilweise das Buffet ziemlich leergefegt war, sondern vor allem dazu, dass das Personal gestresst und genervt reagierte. Sehr schade!
