"This is a clean, beautiful lake house on deep water near main channel in a lovely quiet cove. Fantastic spacious dock complete with fridge for drinks/bait, and large screened porch and huge dining table, plenty of seating, even a fusbol table on the porch for kids. Very well-equipped kitchen. The boat ramp is so close if you are bringing your own boat, so easy to dock it at the private included dock for tubing and skiing. We had so much fun unplugging and the whole property is set up for family time! Just wish we had realized the bath linens were in a closet before going to Walmart to buy towels."

"Check-in was seamless and the house was very clean and well stocked. The location was good and close to a marina/gas station/restaurant. The screened in porch facing the lake was great for the evenings. The house worked out well for our group and everyone had a good time. Overall a great find on Lake Gaston that’s pet friendly."

"My family of 4, plus our dog, just had the pleasure of spending the past 3 nights at Sunrise Cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. There was homemade cinnamon rolls in the freezer with instructions on how to reheat them, which was such a thoughtful and delicious treat. We spent time on the paddle boards, kayaks and canoe and enjoyed the amazing view. Our dog even made friends with the local dogs, who are very sweet, once they get their barks out lol. We would absolutely love to return sometime."

"A beautiful home, with multiple sleeping spaces and recreational fun!The bunk room is in an open area, only a factor of your guests are young. Some of the appliances did not work but we were able to work around it. Overall a nice home with very responsive hosts"

"We had a great time at the Executive Mansion with our family of 24 people. The house was very spacious and the amenities were great. Having a pool was a definite plus and it got a lot of use. The kitchen had just about everything we could need and made meal prep very easy. We rented the boat and went fishing almost every day. We caught more fish on this trip than any other vacations we have been on, and we didn’t even have to travel that far from the house.We had a few minor issues, but the home owner was very responsive in addressing them. When you spend as much as we did on a vacation property you expect everything to be perfect. However, it’s a rental property, so it’s going to show some signs of wear and tear. Did any of these issues detract from our overall experience? Not really, so I’m not going to dive into the specifics. Would we go back? Our group likes to try different places each time, but if we were to go back to Lake Gaston, the Executive Mansion would definitely be on the list."
