We booked a superior room via Expedia, but this was downgraded by the hotel as we were travelling with dogs and no dogs allowed in superior rooms - as recompense we were not charged a dog fee. Unfortunately the Expedia website didn’t state what rooms did and don’t allow dogs. The downside of the basic room for us, was no tea or coffee making facilities, and we had to pay for hot drinks from the restaurant. The room was basic but comfortable. We had the buffet evening meal which had a good choice. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of hot and cold items.

The room was lovely, and the breakfast was excellent! The hotel was also very dog-friendly, which we really appreciated. There were plenty of charging options and free parking, which was a big plus. However, the spa area was disappointing. The outdoor facilities was great, but the water was freezing cold, both indoors and outdoors. It felt as though the pool temperature had been set for a warm summer day, but with temperatures around 13°C and a strong wind, it was not enjoyable.
