The River Palace in Rome is a truly lovely small hotel. The staff is absolutely fabulous, the hotel is elegant and clean, and it's an easy walk to the wonderful sights of Rome. The morning breakfast is perfect. Highly recommended.

Location of the property is perfect. Less than a 5 min walk from the Villa Borghese park (where you can row boats and view the sunset). It's also less than 5 mins from the piazza de popplo. There's loads of shops and restaurants all within walking distance. You can even walk to the colosseum (35 min walk roughly). The metro station is also less than 5 mins away if you don't want to make the slightly longer walks. The staff are really friendly and helped in decorating the room for a birthday. They also gifted us with a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch.

I loved my stay at this hotel and will stay again. The rooms are small but they have everything you need. The rooms are clean, turn down servicex, and staff are all amazing. This hotel is perfectly located. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe. I was about to walk to all the sites which are amazing

While I agree that the rooms are rather small, as is the shower enclosure, I tend to expect this in European hotels. However, the facilities were clean and of very high quality in attention to detail. The whole hotel had a very elegant feel and appearance. The staff was very professional, courteous and helpful. It was located within easy walking distance of Trevi fountain, the Pantheon and the Spanish steppes. Amongst all of these sites was the very large and extensive shopping district. This hotel was great for us and I would certainly stay there again if the opportunity arose.

Great Hotel in the center of Rome. Very clean and cordial staff. Walkable to main museums, shopping and metro. Breakfast is not included and the price is a bit high but everything else is wonderful.

This was a very nice hotel, we made a good choice. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It is a small hotel with a luxury feel. Our room was very nice. We wanted a hotel with a Rome flavor to it & The River Palace delivered. We were able to walk to the must see areas. The historic district was a long walk but doable. The hotel is in a good area. The staff booked us tickets , booked transportation helped with printing luggage tags. We would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Rome.

Great location but rooms are very small. Beds are adequate and not pillow top mattresses. Staff was great though. The best part was the location to Square, Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese Park.

The River Palace Hotel is a well-maintained smaller hotel with exceptional staff and services. Daily attention to the room with all the amenities needed for a terrific stay. The traditionally decorated room is carpeted with three sets of drapes. The staff are exceptional with their professional throughness and efficiency. The hot breakfast with a range of options, was a great way to start the day. The smell of the breakfast getting started was evident in our first floor room. The room faced the street but as promised, the area was very quiet by 9pm and we slept well with the room darkening curtains and comfortable bed. We enjoyed the hotel and location, as we could walk to various sites in the city. The comfort and location contributed to an overall wonderful first visit to Rome.

The hotel oozes old-fashion glamour. It has a lovely courtyard where you can sip cocktails or just relax and mingle with other guests. The rooms are small and lacking in proper storage but nicely appointed and very tidy.

We have stayed in this wonderful hotel 5 out of 6 times we have visited Roma. The hotel is beautiful and the majority of the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Frederica in the bar is wonderful and asset to the hotel. She goes above and beyond to take care of you making you feel like family. Harold at the bar can be perhaps more pleasant and not so harsh. When we arrived early Georgio was an angel and got us into our room so we can rest due to the jet lag. He has always taken care of us like family.

Had the Terrezza suite with a beautiful view of Rome Center. Very short walk to all the highlights. The metro is half block away across the street. Great restaurant just a block to the west called Sud. Really enjoyed our three nights at this Hotel. Would return

Cozy but beautiful
This hotel was small but beautiful the photos don't do it justice. Not to mention that it's fairly close to the Spanish steps and Tevi Fountain.

We loved our stay at the River Palace and have been there twice now. The location is very convenient— right off the Flamenia metro and the Piazza del Popolo. Its a safe, quiet area. We didn’t have any issues with noise at night. Only downside was on our second stay the wifi wasn’t great — it didn’t seem to cover the whole room (we were in 603). It worked fine the first stay when we were on the other side of the building.

Nice property, close to the Metro and Piazza del Poppolo. Good breakfast each morning. Our room was very small and uncomfortably warm. We kept our window open each night as thermostats are pre set.

The Smart rooms of the River Palace Hotel are the ideal solution for those who do not have particular space requirements. Large 12 square meters (equivalent to 129 sq ft), they have a French double bed (140 cm) with satin silk sheets, free wi-fi, air conditioning, minibar, flat screen TV with cable and satellite channels, laptop compatible safe and a marble bathroom with shower booth and a full range of amenities including a hairdryer. Extra bed/cot are not allowed. In order to have more space in the room we suggest to book Classic or Deluxe category room. We hope to guest you again in the next future.

Great location & beautiful decor.
This hotel was conveniently located close to the Vatican, which was our primary area of interest this trip. The staff were very helpful in scheduling taxis, giving info on restaurants, setting up shuttle to airport & getting us into our room as soon as we arrived (10:00am). It was very beautifully decorated and there were plenty of amenities in the room in case you were running low on shampoo, etc. Probably our only complaint was the (traditional) hand held shower head with only a 1/2 size glass wall to keep the water in the tub area. But overall, we both found the room to be lovely (in traditional Italian antique style) & the bed was very comfortable.

On the other side of the gate, the palace was a very quaint clean, classy hotel. I will stay there again.
