Poor communication and 67 steps.
We faced several issues during our stay. Four hours before check-in, we tried to upload our passports via their app, but it kept erasing our info. Despite informing them on VRBO, we received no response. The provided address was incorrect; after searching, we found the right building, which was difficult with luggage. We later learned the unit was not 4 but 8, on the 4th floor of a narrow, elevator-less building, making the 67 stairs exhausting in the summer heat. Inside, the apartment was decent but poorly finished, lacking basic amenities like bowls, dishwasher pods, detergent, knives, and a wine opener. The bathroom had minimal counter space. Communication was frustrating; VRBO messages went unanswered, and the host claimed they couldn't see VRBO messages, which seems unlikely since they messaged us there. They only contacted us on WhatsApp on the last night, asking about checkout. I do not recommend Mr. Brown. Positives included comfortable beds, blackout blinds, a working jetted tub, a great neighborhood, and excellent water pressure from the plumber.
