Great location. Away from tourists which we liked but within walking distance to the famous sights. “ Cafe Vert” every morning for a cappuccino and custard filled crosant.
We enjoyed staying in this apartment on our trip to Rome. Milena was so kind to set us up with a private taxi to bring us from the airport to the apartment, and showed us around the area once we got there. Apartment was clean, and a good location near the train station which made getting around the city easy. The location is nice if you like a quiet neighbourhood. I would stay here again!
Great location, near restaurants, taxi stand, groceries. Probably the best hosts I’ve ever had, exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. Quiet place with well equipped kitchen. It suited us very well.
Although not in the centre by choice many historical buildings that get overlooked.easy by taxi to get all location in central Rome foe 10 euro.
The host is first rate and the garden is great for sundowners. Large supermarket in 5 mins walk
Property was in a great location for all touristy attractions. It was very quiet and for the most part clean.. the showers had some mold in the tiles. Outside of that everything was great.
We had an incredible stay at this VRBO in Rome! The location was perfect - we were able to walk to many of the city's top attractions, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, providing us with helpful tips and recommendations for our visit. The apartment itself was cozy and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a cute terrace overlooking the city. Overall, we highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic experience in Rome!
My daughter spent the semester in Rome. I came to spend time in Europe with her before she returned home. We had plenty of space with a lot of luggage to sort through. Milena was helpful in getting us rides to and from the airport. This would be a great place for a family! It had everything we needed.
Spacious apartment located within 38 mins walk of piazza Navona. There are several pasticcerie within the neighborhood where you can have a leisurely cup of coffee and a pastry. The apartment is roomy and has every facility including a little terraced garden. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic stay.
The property is exactly as described
It is very quiet, which is great after a long day of tours and sightseeing.
Milena is a fantastic host.
Upon our arrival, she drove us around and showed us the area, dropping us a a nice restaurant for a pleasant lunch.
You can get a cab in a few blocks and the price to most places is very affordable. The grocery store is just a few blocks away.
If you are looking for a nice quiet place , this is the spot for you.
Thank you Milena for a great place to stay and getting us settled in
We had a wonderful family stay at this delightful apartment. The location is fantastic - peaceful and hospitable away from the tourist trail, but very well connected for all of Rome's wonders.
The apartment is very nicely presented and was impeccably clean. It was cool in the heat of the day, which was welcome in the week we visited.
On arrival, Maurizio gave us a brilliant and memorable tour of the area, finishing with the view from Gianicolo hill - it couldn't have been a warmer welcome. Everything was straightforward and, overall, we were very happy indeed.
My family and I enjoyed our stay! The host was friendly, kind and easy to work with. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city, quiet neighborhood and if the weather had been better we would have enjoyed the patio! The place is as advertised. One note about location: the walk to the Vatican is about a 40 minute walk, a little farther than we understood, but was worth the walk. In regards to the unit: it has a washing machine, but no dryer. There is a stove top, but no oven. Thank you Milena!
We had the best stay here in Trastevere Across the river from Rome. The Host Milena and her husband were Great. Giving us a ride on our first day, showing us the local sites and places to Grocery Shop and Dine. The Condo was very clean and very safe. With a beautiful private terrace. The Condo is in a fantastic location with Bus stops and Taxi Stands within a 2-block area. Take the #75 bus and it will take you to the Colosseum and the Termini Train Station. It Stops right out in front of the Condo. We really didn't want to Leave!!
Melania is the perfect host: her communication is excellent in its detail and in the quickness in response, she readily agreed to do some shopping for us before we arrived, and she arranged for taxis to pick us up at the airport. As well as these qualities, I was pleasantly surprised by how Melania is able to anticipate our needs: there was a needle and various cotton threads, laundry detergent, hand sanitizer, and helpful notes.
Rome at Your Doorstep: A Gem with Fantastic Hosts!
We had an incredible stay at this charming rental in Rome! The apartment was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. What truly made our experience exceptional were the hosts. Milena was wonderfully helpful, even calling a cab for us since we don’t speak Italian. Maurizio went above and beyond by taking us on a whirlwind tour of the area, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the city he clearly loves. The absolute best part? The bus stop is right out the front door, making all of Rome easily accessible. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!
Melina is a very gracious and thoughtful host! In addition to orienting us the the flat, she drove us around to get us oriented not only with the neighborhood but also nearby areas of interest. The flat is located out of the main tourist area chaos but is close enough via bus. The neighborhood has a grocery store nearby as well as cafes, bars and restaurants.
The flat is well appointed with 2 lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and a full kitchen. Most of all, we really enjoyed the garden Terrance for relaxed breakfast/brunch and evening drinks! A true oasis in Rome!
Milena and her husband are absolutely wonderful.
Milena made us a private taxi reservation from and back to the airport at a very good price. Her husband drove us around Trastevere and tours of the parks and over looks. He is a wealth of information. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and has a private outdoor "backyard" area. The location is 4 minute walk to a taxi stand. 5 minute to a very nice super market and restaurants and bars are all around. Try "Tutto Qua"! We had a lot of fun there and its right around the corner.
We miss this place so much already. It was our home away from home for 10 days over the holidays.
A presto Roma!!
We (both of us are seniors over 70) stayed in the apartment for 3 nights. Milena was the perfect host. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the Rome Airport. When we arrived at the apartment, Milena was waiting for us. She showed us everything in the apartment. She drove us around the area showing us points of interest. The apartment was wonderful; roomy, bright and quiet, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The terrace was very nice and private. There was a convenient bus stop in front of the apartment. We were able to go directly to the colosseum on one bus. There was a wonderful coffee shop less than a 5 minute walk down the street; wonderful caffe and pastries. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Sparkling clean, comfortable home, wonderful hosts, nice to be in a quiet non-touristy area to feel like you are living with the locals. The apartment is an easy 45 minute walk to Vatican City, however, the bus system can get you anywhere quickly. Bus 75 stops right in front of the apartment and also stops right in front of the Colosseum. Maurizio gave us a lovely tour of the area including a very helpful panoramic view of Rome city center where he pointed out different historic monuments and gave some historical perspective. The only con we can think of is that the mattress in the master bedroom was a bit too hard. Not so hard that we couldn't sleep but we would have preferred a little more give in the mattress. The second room's single beds were foam (we think) and were more comfortable. Milena kindly gave us a ride to the train station at the end of our stay. She and Maurizio were delightful!
Milena was very flexible when we got stuck in Florence during the train strike and couldn’t make it to Rome to check in on our designated day. She gave us a brief tour in her auto to point out sites of interest, bus and train stops, grocery stores, and neighborhood restaurants. It was so appreciated! When I had a question about how to work the stove, Milena was immediately there to walk me through it! The apartment was a perfect set up for myself and my two teens. I would suggest to keep the bedroom doors closed when the a/c’s are on and the bedrooms will be nice and cool when you are ready to sleep! Really appreciated having an in-unit washing machine for the end of our 10-day trip to Italy!
We really enjoyed our stay at Milena’s apartment in Monteverde. The place is well situated in a lovely neighborhood near restaurants, supermarkets and banks. There is a bus that passes frequently in front of her apartment. We often took the bus to arrive to the sights in central Rome. It would take 30-40 minutes by bus, depending on traffic, and location of the site. There is a taxi stand very close to the apartment which was super convenient. We found it too hot to walk 45 minutes to many of the sites so we relied mostly on the buses and taxi.Milena was so helpful when we arrived and took us on a brief tour of the area, pointing out markets, banks, which buses to take etc. She made herself very available to us throughout our stay.Of note, the apartment is in the basement. There is a nice patio out in back, attached to the apartment. There is an elevator for those not wanting to carry luggage, groceries up and down stairs. We loved our home away from home. Thank you Milena for your hospitality!
Let's start with our VRBO rental witch was GREAT!!! and the host was GREAT!!! and as the location that was GREAT also, the afternoon we arrived our host meet us outside of our rental and after we got into the Apartment our host gave us a good 30 minute tour of the area so we could familiarize our self with the area. The location was great, a grocery store 3 blocks away, there is a few restaurant in the area and local side walk bars in the area that were very nice and enjoyable and by staying away from the tourist hotels we were able to experience the culture. The best part of the trip was the local buses, out side our apartment we were able to catch the bus, bus 75 took us to the Colosseum and bus 871 took us to the Vatican and from there we got on 2 different buses which took us to the Trevi Fountain and other to the Roman Forum and I found out the about the bus schedule on Google. As for the Apartment it was nice to cook our own breakfast before heading out and coming back to it and relaxing after a long day plus it had AC I would highly recommend this VRBO and give it 5 STARS!!! And just FYI if you are going to do the Colosseum or the Vatican be sure to sign up for a tour. Thank you Melina for great place to stay and for reserving the taxi that got us to the airport to come home!!!
